Short break

This place is incredible. Photos do not do it justice. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. The only thing I would say is you wait a while for a drink on the terrace but a party from that everything was perfect. We will be back

First time in Agadir and first time in Morocco. Had an absolutely wonderful time at the Sofitel. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The pool area is beautiful, and the hotel has its own beach area looking out onto the promenade with a sea view. The nearest shops and other restaurants are a bit or a walk but you don’t really need to leave the hotel. Souk El Had was a 50MAD taxi ride away. There was lots of options at the breakfast buffet- I’m missing the fresh bread! Would definitely stay again for a relaxing holiday.

Terrible check-in and check-out

Checkin took ages. We were there at about 1pm and didnt get our rooms till after 4pm! The hotel itself was very good with lovely views of the sea and the breakfast was amazing! Check-out again took ages and our credit card deposit wasnt returned either, due to some fault in their system.

I had a wonderful stay and the staff were fantastic. The only disappointment was on check out I was promised that my bill would be sent to me. This did not happen. I emailed several times to follow up the request no response. Luckily I have a friend that lives there and he had to physically go and ask before it was sent. Very disappointing

The property itself is nice and clean but the room walls are very thin and AC units work at its own mind. The concierge is rarely at his desk, the bellboys are very nice and helpful. The reception staff are unnecessarily moody and not very helpful. Pool catering staff are good but only 1 to manage everyone, so very delayed in getting served or anything. Whereas the reception would have 5-6 people to manage 2 thing. Check in process is very slow, we had to wait 45 minutes. I would recommend the property but they need to change their staff in reception and organization of where to allocate the staff. Otherwise not much near by but a nice place to sit and relax.

Hotel unfinished. Work being carried out whilst there. Facilities advertised not available or even complete. Some staff were excellent however the managers were not. Appalling in fact. I feel Like I have spent a considerable amount of money on a service that was lacking in almost every department. Rooms were clean, but not stocked with the necessities.

Beautiful hotel, the bed was comfortable and the rooms keep noise out. Nice bathroom. ( rooms did vary, some rooms had been modernise, whereas others did not). Staff were very accommodating, our initial room had an ocean view but was next to the next hotel which is having construction done on it. We explained that we had a baby and it was impacting his sleep, they transferred us to a new room as soon as one became available. The new room was more morden. Staff were really friendly and went the extra mile to greet my baby and speak with him. Both breakfast and dinner were really nice. ( good quality, fresh food with plenty of options). At dinner drinks are not included ( soft drinks as well as water ) which was disappointing. Overall really enjoyed our stay, would come back again.

It was very unorganized, prices varied, not many options on accommodations of food options to dietary requirements. Serve in some locations and other options were just room service. Want to sell package for some items and timing not convenient or open late. Tour prices or taxi prices 20 folds then average. Prices for same items from hotel were 8x more expensive from market or other restaurants, no fresh pure fruit juice options but sweetened and water downed, no water dispenser. Serve coffee in some hotel restaurants like coffee. No milk in room for tea coffee, no tea coffee packets in room. App screening options on tv but was not available. Couldn’t arrange for boxing match to screen on any terrace tvs or worked in room. Too much arguments between staff/ and overall differences

An Exquisite Stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort, and it was an experience worth raving about! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with an ambiance that was both elegant and welcoming. The décor throughout the hotel is simply stunning, blending modern sophistication with tasteful touches that make you feel right at home. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here, as every corner of the hotel, from the lobby to the rooms, was impeccably maintained. The professional staff made my stay even more enjoyable, always going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The concierge team, in particular, deserves a special mention for their friendliness and helpfulness, providing excellent recommendations and making my itinerary seamless. Dining was a culinary delight. The food was not only delicious but also offered a large variety, catering to every palate. Each meal was a new adventure, with dishes that were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The venue itself is excellent, whether you’re here for business or leisure. The facilities are top-notch, and the location makes exploring the surrounding area a breeze. I am a frequent traveller to 5* hotels and must say that this is the first time i gave a low rating. Important to know: there is a club/bar attached to the hotel premises. Unfortunately there seem to be Prostitutes booking or occupying the rooms on the weekends which meant I was woken by music through their own speakers at 5am both weekends and sex noises. I have flagged this with the reception the first night and they didnt seem to be bothered too much and after the second weekend where I communicated my unhappiness they only said they are sorry. At check out when i communicated my frustration they again responded saying there is nothing they can do about this and they hope i come back a second time sooon??? I have never experienced anything like this before and do not expect 5* resorts to tolerate this. Property feels not secure even though they got security at night and during day. Rooms are slightly outdated. Dinner buffet has dry meat every night and not much choice for european visitors. They have pop up stands for dinner that safe that experience a little bit and give you at least one decent dish. There are also very limited restaurant choices around the hotel as an alternative option. Drinks are massively overpriced at dinner and pool area and seem to be UK prices. At the pool non of the staff actually bother to offer you any drinks to order or similar. The breakfast is good in comparison to the rest of the food. Staff are friendly

This was my second and last stay at Sofitel, unfortunately it wasn’t like the last time I stayed here. Firstly like last time and all the other hotels around the stretch there’s no private beach anymore. Breakfast was included in the stay and was until 10:30 in weekdays and 11:00 on the weekends. However after 9:30 most of the items were finished and staff blatantly refused to get any for you by saying sorry croissants are finished orange juice is finished. If you are unable to replenish breakfast items after 9:30 perhaps you should keep the timing till 9:30. Poolside food is way too expensive topping it with rude staff. Won’t be returning and would not recommend

Terrible Experience – Definitely Not 5-Star Quality We arrived at the hotel expecting a smooth check-in at 3:00 PM, as clearly stated in the booking confirmation. However, the room wasn’t ready until 5:30 PM – over 2.5 hours of waiting with no proper explanation or apology. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful, showing no urgency or concern for guest comfort. The hotel does not reflect 5-star standards in any way – in fact, it doesn’t even meet the expectations of a 3-star. The rooms were outdated, worn down, and frankly, dirty. Carpets stained, bathroom not properly cleaned, and a general lack of maintenance throughout. The pool area was just as disappointing – most of the sunbeds were broken or heavily worn, and there was an overall feeling of neglect. This place has clearly not been updated or properly managed in years. For the price and brand name, this was a huge letdown. Would not recommend and will not be returning. There are far better hotels in the same area that actually value their guests and maintain basic standards of hospitality.

This property was excellent and we loved our time here. The breakfast was brilliant and had a good range and staff were very helpful! The hotel smelt amazing and was very clean and the pool and spaces to relax are awesome. Only downside is the bathrooms do not have a douche and the showers were problematic where it would be hot water then suddenly change to cold and then back to boiling hot. Also this hotel is slightly away from the main strip with restaurants (walking distance approx 1 hr) however, you can easily take a cab there for approx £4 pounds. Overall we loved our stay here and it was excellent!

J’ai passé un excellent séjour au Sofitel Agadir. La chambre était très confortable, spacieuse et parfaitement propre, offrant un véritable cocon de détente. L’ensemble de l’hôtel est impeccablement entretenu, avec une attention portée aux moindres détails. La cuisine est un vrai régal : variée, savoureuse et de grande qualité, chaque repas a été un plaisir. Le service client est tout simplement exceptionnel. Chaque membre du personnel est aux petits soins, anticipant nos besoins avec une grande discrétion et une véritable volonté de faire plaisir. Mention spéciale à Mehdi, qui a été remarquable tout au long du séjour. À l’écoute, professionnel et toujours disponible, il a largement contribué à rendre ce séjour inoubliable grâce à sa gestion parfaite et son sens du service. Je recommande sans hésiter cet établissement, où luxe, confort et qualité d’accueil se conjuguent à merveille.

Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff. Amazing food in the buffet restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. Pools beautiful but not heated. In mid April, they were chilly and the water on the beach warmer (there is no private beach and the beach is fairly dirty, but nevertheless enjoyable). The kids enjoyed the kids club for a day, especially the video games! Even our 11 year old had fun. Overall, highly recommended!
