The villa is absolutely stunning and more than we hoped for. Inside was fully stocked with welcome food plus excellent cooking utensils/pans etc. there wasn’t a useable kettle at the property however microwave/hob are easy enough to use.
Bedrooms are very comfortable and offer exceptional vista.
The view can not be beaten it’s amazing- we took binoculars which we used everyday for boats/birds of prey and roaming goats on the hillside.
The air con in bedrooms on lower floor, was not as efficient as some previous properties we have rented, however this did not impact the overall experience.
We sat outside every evening watching the harbour lights - there was a power cut one evening (common in Elounda) the changing sky and view were magical.
The driveway was tricky to navigate with a people carrier as it is quite steep, so we would recommend a smaller car.
We would absolutely consider staying at Villa Hestia again, the only request we would make is a more convenient time for cleaning, with young children and cooking 6-8pm sometimes later, did interrupt the evenings x3 times.
The pool was clean and a good temperature (slightly colder on windy days!) garden is stunning and sheep next door were a novelty! Adequate shade when needed and plenty of outside seating.
Decor and comfort inside and out were excellent. Staff and management were polite, helpful and quick to respond.
