Even better than the pictures!
The Villa Iliothea is an amazing place and looks in reality even better than on the pictures. We stayed in the main house (5 adults and 4 children), which has 3 double bed rooms and two twin bed rooms for the kids plus 3 bathrooms. (If needed, there is a second apartment with 3 more rooms - we did not need it.) The Villa is spacious, very clean and all the rooms are nice with big windows or balcony. The house is extremely well equipped (even with hand disinfectants, face mask (Corona preventions), hair dryers, spare towels and bed linen, excellent air condition, Bluetooth loudspeakers, very good W-lan...) and has two great outdoor seating areas (one lounge area and one BBQ area with a big wooden table) - both overlooking the sea. The pool is very big and deep on one side to jump in and swim. The owners - Rozana and her husband - are very friendly and gave us a warm personal welcome with a bottle of wine, water, juice, fruit and biscuits. They personally explained everything, gave recommendations for Taverns and checked discretely every other day via SMS if we needed something or had a question. The location is very good with only 15-30min to the next bigger village(s) and the sea side / beaches. (Car mandatory!) Recommended sites to visit within a 30-45min car ride: Lasithi Plateau, Old Town of Kritsi, Zeus Cave (take a ride with the donkey!), Seaside Town of Sissi, Harbour Town of Agios Nikolaos. Recommended beaches: just drive along the shore around Agios Nikolaos (both directions). There are many different beaches to be found. A big thank you once again to Rozana and her husband! Everything was just great and we had a perfect time!
