"My wife and I stayed at Mara Explorer for 6 nights in September 2023. This was our third Safari in Kenya. The Mara Explorer is the most magical and enchanting location for a safari I could ever imagine. Everything was impeccable - the amazingly friendly and professional staff, wonderful hospitality, service, and beautiful food. The tents are an absolute privilege to stay in, especially being woken up to the hippo chorus at each morning! The bed was so comfy - I slept like never before. The drives were just incredible! Witnessing the migration at its peak was a humbling experience. We saw numerous spectacular crossings and the big five. A huge thank you to everyone at Mara Explorer, especially Dominic our guide. Spending several hours a day with him for 6 days was a joy and he tirelessly ensured we found a rhino (on our very last drive!). He is a true gentleman and an expert wildlife guide. I have never experienced 4x4 driving like his - we didn't get stuck once in sometimes very challenging conditions and always made us feel safe and comfortable - as did everyone at the camp. To sum up. If you want a dream 5-star Masai mara safari, choose Mara Explorer. Richard and Katie"

"If you want a great experience in the Maasai Mara then you must stay here. My wife and I stayed at the Naserian Mara Camp for our honeymoon during late September of 2023. Our stay was everything and then some. We saw the Big 5, Hot Air Ballooned over the Mara, ate breakfast in the bush, drank champagne under the stars, saw Kisaru, the baddest cheetah in history, and her baby cubs, got treated like royalty, and had the time of our lives. The rooms are impeccable. The staff unbeatable. The food is top notch. The camp is environmentally conscious. What more could you ask for? Shadrack, the general manager, answered all of my questions, listened to all of my request, and then delivered an amazing experience. Moses was our host during our stay, and I can’t say enough about how excellent and thoughtful he was. Moses is not only a great host, but an even better human being. Our game drivers, Patrick and Clifford, are not just good at what they do, but they are the best at what they do. They are knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and just great to spend hours with driving across the beautiful landscape. They know the Lemek Conservancy like the back of their hand. They care about the animals, and they will care about your experience. Joshua, the chef, will deliver dish after dish after dish that somehow gets better and better each day. He will listen to your preferences, and he will care about your experience. The rest of the crew will be right there to look after your every need"

"Excellent hotel on the edge of the Masai Mara with a pedestrian bridge into the park so that you can meet your driver on the other side and avoid the Talek gate. Food was OK and the drinks reasonably priced. But it is the amazing staff that make this hotel special. Highly recommended."

"Nice tented camp, the tents are new and covered on a platform. You look right onto the Talek River. At night zebra, hippos other wildlife come to drink. You are next to the park gate, it is a busy gate complete with the busy balloon guys. But you are right in the park no long drive, you just start your Safari right after your breakfast. "

"This was our first trip to Masai Mara and it was unforgettable! We stumbled across Il Muran and it did not disappoint! The stay exceeded our expectations. The hospitality at the camp was top knotch. We were welcomed by local Maasai and they took care of us during our entire stay! Our guide Antony was the BEST in Masai Mara. With only 2 game day drives, he knew exactly what to do and where to go, to see the most animals we possibly could. We couldn't be more grateful for our experience. I was in close communication with the camp leading up to our stay. They answered every question I had & it made the trip stress-free! The tents were very clean and the beds were comfortable. We were surprised with a heated water pack daily so the bed was warm at nighttime. It was a nice touch! The location is incredible! We had zebras grazing on the camp daily. We even saw a monkey, hippo, and elephant from our camp. And the stay was very close to a pride of lions! On our last day we were surprised with breakfast in the bush. It was a very special ending to a once in a lifetime trip! "
