The food is the best within Dormy Inn Group
The food of the restaurant is the best one that I enjoyed around ten hotels within Dormy Inn Group.
However, the performance and the attitude of front desk staff still have many improvement.
Managed yo get good price for 3 weeknights.Stayed in many many dormy in the past. As usual, the onsen is very good with cold, outside n inside pool. Free stick icecream, washing of clothes n night noodles. BF is quite standard and variety change slightly. Room small, bed hard, service good. However. Pricing has at times shot through the roof. Other like minded newer onsen hotels are entering market.
5 minute walk from Akita station, there are plenty of food options around and shopping malls nearby to do souvenir shopping.
Plenty of attractions nearby like the park opposite and the Akita Inu station behind.
The onsen on the top floor was also enjoyable, and had free dessert right outside. There's also free noodles at night for supper.
Great place to stay for day trips from Akita.
This was a first time I’ve ever stayed at hotel with such amazing customer service, hospitality cleanliness, a free half- portion of ramen at the evening snack, a variety of breakfast options, and complimentary ice cream after bathing. I highly recommend it to everyone.I’ll definitely come back to stay again.
Great hotel! Had a positive and very pleasant experience at this hotel. Room was nice and good facilities (onsen). Car park was easy and convenient. Close to the airport by car. Would stay again.
Very poor hotel. Staff refused to help to book a table in the restaurant. Will not consider to stay in Dormy inn in future and not recommend this hotel as it is not up to standard.
Room was small but functional for one person and one can easily open a large suitcase on the floor which is not possible for most of the business hotels in Japan. Despite being on the first floor (floor 2) there was no sound from outside (a car park), no sound from any neighbours. The onsen was a major highlight open throughout afternoon, night and early morning so one can avoid the crowds. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Akita.
we stay at this hotel specifically because it has an onsen (hot springs) which is a very nice one and great to have on a cold winters eve. the dormy inn chain has lots of other great little perks (free ramen before bed, popsicles after the bath, etc...) and the service is wonderful. however, you should note that people with tattoos are not welcome in the bath (a rule in Japan that needs to be changed!)
The building is old looking from the outside but also old inside. The room remind me of the 1980s. The atmosphere of the property is not very comfortable. Service is ok not bad and not great.

There were stains/ dirts (like some orange sauce of food) on the wall … strong cologne scent of the previous resident remains… staff doesn’t speak enough at all … it’s the worst Dormy inn I have ever stayed in…
