  • The William McKinley Memorial is a Canton, Ohio landmark, and is the final resting place of the 25th U.S. President and his wife Ida. The site also houses the William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum and a large public park. McKinley was born in Niles, Ohio but began his career in Canton, the city he called home. McKinley was also the 39th Governor of Ohio. On September 6th 1901, six months into his second term as President, McKinley was shot by a Polish American anarchist. He died 8 days later on September 14th. He was succeeded by his vice president Theodore Roosevelt. This was a newly renovated hotel with friendly and helpful staffers. At the bar and restaurant, delicious and interesting food and drinks were delivered by cool yet professional people. I know the hotel is in the home of the football hall of fame, but there is too much focus on sports. Football is on every television and the hotel’s public spaces look like a man cave.

Beautiful and Lovely accommodations. Manager was very friendly. Owner not present, available at first by phone. Room exceptionally clean as was total environment. We did not see an area for recycling though. Breakfast was limited in choices, but coffee was good.
