Great vacation

We had a pleasant stay at your lovely house and property. Very relaxing. Snorkeling was good and the reef was close. Plus, we found good restaurants nearby. We would stay there again.

Excellent!!

Our family of five loved staying here! Kids loved that the pool was right out the door. Snorkeling, turtles, beach, Yal Ku lagoon and many great restaurants are walking distance. Also felt very safe here, especially with the national guard across the street. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for a quiet time in beautiful surroundings.

Everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Easy walk to restaurants and town. The casita and grounds were immaculate and the staff was efficient and kind. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Beautiful garden and wonderful beach access

This was a wonderful property with 3 bedrooms. It is at the end of Half Moon Bay and has a beautiful pool, garden, and beach. I would choose this property again.

A great Family retreat !

We stayed at Diana’s Villa Jardin for 4 nights after spending 6 nights down the road in Tulum “Tankah Shores”. We could easily have spent the entire stay in Akumal. It is a good location for bouncing around and checking out the Cenotes, Tulum and all the other activities . We use VRBO a lot and will definitely go back to this cool spot.

Fabulous Condo on a beautiful beach

I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Akumal. Villa Jardin is a very comfortable place to stay. The beds are comfortable, the towels are thick and fluffy and the showers are great. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is heavenly. What more can you ask for?

Beautiful week at La Sirena

Our family group - four adults and one toddler - loved our stay at this beautiful villa. The house was attractive and comfortable, the landscaping and pool are lovely, and the beach setting can't be beat. Although you may not want to leave La Sirena, it's also just a five-minute walk from Yal-Ku lagoon, and a short drive from many cenotes and the Tulum ruins. We would be delighted to stay here again.

We had a great stay at Villa Jardin & loved the Akumal area! Our condo was spotless & very well stocked with towels, soap, paper goods, waters, etc. On-site staff was available & helpful when we needed additional water & had questions about the area. We will definitely be back!

Loved the place!

I came with 3 friends for a birthday trip in September and we loved the place! The unit is steps away from the beach, there’s a pool and plenty of place to sunbathe. It is directly across from a police station which made us feel safe when we came in late from partying. Place was clean, everyone was comfortable and happy with our selection.

Wonderful family villa with plenty of space

We had a truly wonderful two week stay at Villa Sirena. The villa is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The pool is right outside and we almost had it entirely to ourselves for the two weeks! Plenty of snorkeling equipment as the as the beach is just a short walk away and has lots of fish to see. The sea is perfectly clear and very warm. Communication from Diana was perfect, thank you. We had everything we needed during the stay. Local bars and restaurants just a short walk away. You can get to the main arch in less than 30mins, walking (with teenagers)! A truly fabulous family holiday for the 5 of us!

Beautiful beach property with great water activities

Beautiful property. Very quiet, safe and well taken care of. Great snorkelling right off the beach. We all loved the pool and Proximity to akumal. A lot of topes on the way in but that keeps the road safe for walking! Kitchen very well appointed for a big family- bike rental right on site if you ask which our teens loved as it gave them some freedom and us too. Great family holiday. Spring Break

We were two families that stayed here for a partial day over our spring break. We really enjoyed the location! It was lovely to have the pool and the beach access. We had a bit of trouble reaching the manager/service people on call, but all managed to work out. Everything was super clean. Nice to use the masks for a bit of snorkeling. We took full advantage of having a kitchen and Akumal was a perfect home base for visits to Tulum and Chichen Itza.

Amazing property with beautiful views!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Villa Jardin! The pictures online don't do it justice. It was comfortable and spacious with every amenity we needed, including the unlimited bottled water! The grounds were gorgeous and the private beach beautiful and peaceful. Both restaurants and Akumal Beach were close by and if not for some of our booked tours, we could easily have just stayed at Villa Jardin and the surrounding area. Don't hesitate to book La Sirena Condos/Villa Jardin. We will definitely be coming back and am already planning for our next visit!

Recommend!

Comfortable, attractive house in a beautiful garden setting. The pool and seaside (not really a beach) were great. We were in a villa in the complex, 5 adults and one toddler and it worked out well. Getting a response from the owner was iffy: an email and a text while we were there went unanswered. Also, the listing says "30 steps to the beach," which isn't strictly true. It's really about 90 steps—still close.

25th wedding anniversary

Overall experience was great, it’s a very nice location out of the way of many tourists. The water was great, nice and warm and no one else really there. So if felt like we had it all to our self. I would definitely rent a car to get around. The on duty staff was very very nice and yes I would definitely use them for any questions. Please tip them well they do awesome. Go out to the out of town restaurant they are very authentic and very much worth the price. Overall I would do again.

Paradise!

The villa was lovely, well-equipped and spacious, set in a beautiful garden area with a lovely pool. The reef in front of the resort was fabulous, a real bonus - there was lots to see and it was really sheltered and calm (you'll need some reef/water shoes though as it's a bit rocky getting into the water) The Yal-Ku Lagoon is only a couple of minutes away, and was also amazing for snorkelling. There was a small shop about 10 mins walk away, but otherwise it's good to have a car, hire a buggy or to use a taxi, as it's a good 30 mins walk in the heat to reach the other shops in Akumal. That said, we did walk so it is do-able without a car! We also took collectivos from the main highway to see cenotes, which was easy and fun. Would highly recommend!

The place we stayed was great. Well stocked with no issues. I would stay there again if I went back. However, I was very disappointed in the people. The exchange rate was over 20 to 1 and they just made up there own exchange rate 17 1819to 1 so they got the credit card when they would take it. Several of the people were just rude with smart remarks. We have been to several places in Mexico and the people here by far were the worse. Maybe it was because of Covid and they were just trying to come back from it. I have so many more issues that we encountered but to many to explain. Not sure but we will not go back to Akumal. Not because of the place but the people.

We really enjoyed our stay. Approximately 90 steps from the front door & your feet are in the ocean.

We were 3 couples & found the place to be vary spacious. The beds are very comfortable. The pool is right out side the front door. It can get a little noisy but it kids having fun. There is staff on duty at all times. There is a BBQ & a sign in the fridge that says ‘Charcoal is available for your use’ but when we asked where we could get some charcoal, we were told ‘The Store’. We had to get someone to come in & look at the oven because we could not get it lit. It is an older model & can not be repaired. We would have loved to have had all the windows open but when we arrived the inside was full of mosquitoes & we were eaten alive all night long. They were coming through the screens. We stuffed the bathroom windows with plastic wrap to keep them out. So. Sadly we had to run the air conditioning all the time. I ‘HATE’ air conditioners and found it quite annoying but that was me. The fridge was plenty big. There are bikes to rent. Make sure you bring water shoes because the water along the area is very rocky in places with coral & sea urchins. You can walk very far out into the ocean & still touch the bottom. The ocean was warm and the lounge chairs were plenty. We would definitely come back here. We had an amazing week in Akumal. Thanks

Nice vacation spot

My adult children and I enjoyed our 3-night stay on Half Moon Bay. The condo was as described, roomy and comfortable, clean, well furnished and equipped. It was great being poolside and steps from the beach. We did have to contend with a power outage our first night, but we headed out for dinner at La Buena Vida and the electricity was on when we got back. If you’re wed to the internet, take note that the WiFi in the condo did not function at all during our stay; Alfredo, the manager, let us log in through the router in another condo, but I assume only because it was vacant when we were there. We found more than enough to do while there—Tulum ruins (go early before it gets crowded), Lagoon Yal-Ku, Muyil ruins and Sian Ka’an Reserve (do the canal float—unique!), Sac Actun cenote. A car is highly recommended, although biking into the Akumal Bay area for restaurants and shops is doable. My only real complaint was an abrupt end to communication with Diana the last week or so before our stay. I had requested early check-in, or at least an okay to drop our bags off. After letting me know she’d check with management, I never got an answer—despite several texts from me. As there was no one staying in the condo for several days prior to our arrival, it didn’t seem at all unreasonable to expect that early access wouldn’t be a problem. Leaving us hanging without ANY response to my last two text inquiries was inconsiderate and poor business practice. Too bad that lapse, something that could have so easily been addressed and communicated, negatively affected our otherwise 5-star experience.

Best family getaway

We had a fabulous time and only wished we had booked in for longer. The place was amazing and even better than I imagined from photos. We had a flight delay and got in very late, but there were no issues accessing it. It was in a very safe neighborhood and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Diana was so helpful in providing information upfront and checking in with how everything was going. Will definitely come back when we’re in the area. I recommend renting a car and visiting local censored and other points of interest. Also, go to the grocery store in Tulum. Great selection and incredible prices.

Perfect vacation spot

Exactly as described. The information provided by the host prior to our visit was thorough and very helpful. The condo had everything we needed. The pool was right outside our door to cool off when needed. Other guest in the area were respectful and quite during quite hours. The beach area (50 yards from the villa) was great for snorkeling or relaxing with a drink! The maid-service was impeccable and very helpful! All within walking distance, you can swim with the turtles at Akumal beach, snorkel off the local beach, and swim in the cenote-lagoon all of which we did and loved. Perfect spot for our family vacation. We loved it here and will likely be back.

Fun Time

The Property was clean and well situated, close to the beach with plenty activities. Diana was a wealth of information. I would go again and would recommend without reservations.
