"We had a really poor experience… 1) The bathrooms and washing areas were smelling bad / extremely unclean… the taps were all fully dark and rusty 2) very salty water provided for all washing / bathing. 3) extremely un-friendly staff who were showing absolutely no interest in the welfare of the guests. ..."

Only come here for the houseboats and maybe the beach. There is not much else to do.

It is an non tobacco declared zone. Smoking in public places are banned. Lots of Bars available nearby to Alappuzha beach.
