“Loved this cabin!!”

“We didn't get to take full advantage of the surrounding area of our cabin as it stormed all day Saturday. But, we had a great weekend. It was myself and 2 granddaughters, age 19 and 16. I carried food to cook on the grill, but because of the rain, couldn't do that. The cabin was equipped with 2 gas burners that made it easy to cook indoors. I have been to other cabins in the woods and could not use our phones or watch tv. This cabin had a tv with vcr and video cassette player and the wifi worked……

“We had a lovely 3-night stay. The cottage was cozy and clean. The bed was very comfortable - soft, but not too soft. Pillows were great. Enjoyed a bonfire and smores at night; coffee and turtle watching from the boathouse dock at sunrise. We had a perfect view of the eclipse from the dock. Luckily, the rain clouds held off until after totality. Internet connection was strong and supported multiple devices. We were also able to smoothly stream movies in the evening, even with a thunderstorm……

“The Property is GREAT. Very relaxing, and the pool is the icing on the cake. Close access to boat ramp if you want bring the boat and go fishing as well. Golf Course within 5 minutes. Neighbors were friendly & the owners communication is fantastic. Highly recommend.”

“Nicely nestled in the wooded pastures on the East side of Caney Creek Arm, very good for bass fishermen/women with boat and truck. Good parking and close enough to the new ramp across the bridge. SBRA 6 lane boat ramp.”

“It was a quick getaway for me and my daughter. We had a fishing tournament. The host were great on helping me get inside with the door code. I was having slight problem. It was at 10:00. Appreciate them answering at that time. Place was clean and beds were soft. Bathrooms were modern and clean. It is close to Lake Fork, but on a smaller lake. This is nice as well. Will come back.”

“My Husband & Son came to Lake Fork for the annual Elliotts Electric Bass Tournament. The property is absolutely perfect as it has a boat ramp on premises. The waterfront home is perfect with great views of the water and we definitely would stay here again.”

“Very clean”

“Sent email to see if we could check in early, never received a response. Arrive at location and there were people in the cabin. Went to the office, noone was there, a note on the door said to call this number and we would respond within 24 hours. It is dark in unfamiliar area now having to find a place to stay. He did call back and said he never received a booking, we HAVE a confirmation number from VRBO. I emailed requesting them to cancel the charges on my credit card and email me back. Still……

“My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Kimbra’s house! We brought our two dogs and they loved the wide open spaces. The house was just as described with some special touches from the host that were on theme with the eclipse weekend! Kimbra was so communicative and helpful- we felt well cared for! We really appreciate her opening her home to us!”

“We traveled to Texas for the eclipse and were very happy to find the Rustic Retreat cabin right in the path of totality. The hosts were very responsive by text prior to our stay and reached out while we were there to make sure everything was going well. The cabin is very comfortable, clean, and cute and equipped with everything you could need for a stay. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the back porch in the morning and hearing the birds chirp. In the dark we drove by the entrance at first……

“This was my second stay at Beaver Run and it was just as amazing as the first. The air just hits differently here. Morning coffee on the porch in a rocker watching the sunrise and seeing the forest awaken is my favorite part. It was cool enough this time to enjoy the hot tub in the evening (I’m not a big hot tub person but it was clean and wonderful!). I plan on coming again (and again and again and again!) to recharge my soul. Thank you for sharing your home!”

“This home is well equipped with just about everything you might need, even a bluetooth speaker which I think is a nice touch. Our host was easy to reach and seemed like regular people. I would bring a boat next time, not that it was necessary, there is lots of property there for outdoor activities. Oh, a cornhole set was also provided, another nice touch.”
