The staff were nice and friendly. The room was cleaned every day, beds made, and towels replaced.
The building itself had a strong scent. It didn't smell bad, but it was too strong and made my nose numb. It almost felt like you could taste the smell in your mouth. The worst part was the room. It smelled moldy and humid. When you lowered the room temperature, the smell was tolerable, but once you put it around 70, the smell became unbearable. We were sleeping under the sheet to cover our noses for the night. We guessed the AC air filter needs to be changed because that's where the smell was mainly coming from. The building itself looks old, especially since there's no elevator. So the smell might not entirely be due to the air filter. The carpets weren't the cleanest either. The sudden change in air quality, going from an overly strong scent to a moldy, pungent odor, was terrible. If you have a sensitive nose, then this definitely isn't the place for you.
We didn't ask for a new room because we were only staying for 3 nights, and we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Also, I don't think the other rooms would smell any better since they're still in the same building with the same utilities. If you're someone who enjoys lounging around in your room, then definitely book somewhere else.
