Truly getting away from everything

A tiny idyllic dot on the landscape; very old farmhouse refurbished in a quaint rustic style We arrived in the dark (& I mean dark) and had let the owners know we'd be coming late. It would have been nice if one of the outside lights was on so we could see we were at the right place. A little disappointed that there weren't the raw materials to make so much as a cup of coffee (just empty caddies) The room was comfortable; shower and water pressure were both excellent. Breakfast was very nice & our hostess bright and chatty

Nice couple, In the middle of nowhere

Very very difficult to find the place down the valley. Cannot receive our phone calls for guidance. They didn't know that we had a reservation but solved the problem. Wifi is only under the wifi tree. Very nice people far from N2

accueil charmant des proprietaires de cette ferme en pleine campagne vallonee avec unue vue superbe sur un méandre de la gourits river et la possibilité de se ballader dans le lit de la rivière à sec totalement dépaysant et reposant et n'oubliez pas de prendre les lamb cotelets du proprio qui sont succulentes et à préparer sur le bbq et à déguster sur la terrasse en face d'un superbe paysage naturel

No one there!

Arrived but all away. We were shown our room but was told that the owner had been called away to an emergency. We were not offered a drink or told what would be happening. We waited a while but no one came so we decided to drive into town to find food and water. Stayed out for a while and returned later and still no one there so collected our bags and left. This rating is probably no a true reflection of the farm but the only one we can give due to the experience. Perhaps the only advice I could give is call ahead and make sure someone is there!

Paradise on the way from Cape Town to George

After discovering this wonderful place on the web I was absolutely determined to go there. The welcome was overwhelming and our 3 days adventure had begun. Everything was just perfect. The meals were superb South African cooking. The river is very inviting at about 30 degrees temperature. The views are stunning (aloe cultivation, bee hives, cattle, sheep, goats, birds, flowers, island, and many more). The family creates an absolute fantastic atmosphere, you leave there as a new person. All the best to the whole family, we will definitely coming back from Europe soon.
