We stayed here for a long weekend whole family get together. Although the house is starting to show some wear, the size is perfect, with enough beds/bedrooms for everyone. The appliances in the kitchen have been updated. Two ovens, two sinks, and two dishwashers made meal preparation a breeze. The location on the water is gorgeous. We loved being able to look out over the lake all day long, especially beautiful in the morning. We didn't get a chance to take the kayaks out because the water was a little to rough, but it's nice to have the option. The hosts were friendly and responsive.

Great place for our men's retreat

We had a men's group retreat and the place was great. Communication was good prior to and after the event. The facilities were as advertised and it was a pleasure staying there. Would recommend and plan to stay again next year.

Great, quiet place to stay!

We had a great time. There was plenty to do to keep us busy, and plenty of space! Very pretty area and views of the lake. Definitely worth it to go out in the "off season", like we did. The area is much less busy and it's a gorgeous place to stay at any time of the year.

Awesome place !!

Outstanding Home!

Had a get together with some old friends and this was the perfect spot! Absolutely beautiful location, so much to do here between the games and outdoor equipment, and of course a great house. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful

The Lighthouse is beautiful. Loved the sail theme throughout the house. Beautiful decors and LOTS of room for a big party. We stayed with 9 couples and still had lots of rooms. The kitchen is spacious and we were able to cook our weekend meals indoor the whole time, since there was a snow storm during our stay. Next to the lake is beautiful, it didn't feel like we were in WI. I bet it would be twice as beautiful during the summer months. I would totally book again.

Million Dollar View!

We had a large family gathering at The Lighthouse, we stayed 3 nights! The place accommodated everyone and the coffee bar was perfect! The kitchen was furnished for a large group and we cooked all of our meals there! Lots of beds for sleeping! Sitting in the living room watching the water for morning coffee didn’t disappoint! The adults and young adults all enjoyed the game room! They were able to play basketball too the temperature was 30 degrees! We were able to see a huge ship on Thursday evening another highlight of the trip! We will definitely be booking again!

Beautiful property, incredible views but needs work!

Huge lot, panoramic views of Lake Michigan, virtually private beach and lots of sleeping space for large or extended family. However, wi-fi service is almost non-existent, kitchen water pressure is extremely low and the house needs updates.

Perfect Family Spot

We had an absolutely wonderful four nights at The Lighthouse. It is a big, beautiful house right on the water that feels remote and private. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and the owners very responsive to any questions we had. Our kids and niece and nephew loved the place and especially the game rooms. If you are looking for a large spot to get together with friends and family in Door County this is a fantastic choice and we will look to stay here again.

Beautiful setting!!

The setting of this home is perfect if you want to be away from it all and up close to the water! And to top it off the home is gorgeous inside as well, with so many things to do on site, that everyone was happy! So much space and very comfortable. We plan to go back again next year! Thank you!

Perfect for our group

We had a wonderful family reunion at the lighthouse. The house was clean and well stocked with cooking supplies , spices, board games and outside sports equipment. The children enjoyed the game room and the collecting rocks on the beach. It was a place where you could have a large group but still find a spot for a quiet moment. We absolutely loved it. Great vacation

The house was large enough that everyone could find a quiet spot if they chose too. Plenty of bikes, ice door fishing gear and the kitchen was fully stocked. There were lots of pots and pans to prepare meals with. Emily our host quickly solved the issue with the washing machine within 48 hours. The location on the lake was ideal and a only 15 to 20 min. drive to Sturgeon Bay. All windows had blinds for those late sleepers. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Great stay!

Our large group of family and friends totally enjoyed our 3 nights at the Lighthouse! Plenty of room to spread out, huge kitchen, amazing views, and fun activities for all of us. The fire pit was great-pickle ball and basketball on the court keep us all busy during the day, then pool a shuffle board at night! The pictures are spot on and the back yard views of the lake were amazing. Emily was a helpful host, very responsive for any issue we had. The beach was great for a walk in the morning, and the kayaks provided were all used. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean and well stocked! We would love to stay again soon!

The Lighthouse

We had a great time at the Lighthouse for 5 days and 4 nights! We had our annual family trip and I am so grateful, we picked the Lighthouse to stayed at. Plenty of space for 25 of us, children and adults. Forgot, also our 3 fur babies. Our host, Emily is wonderful! She's quick at responding! Waking up to see Lake Michigan was beautiful! Wished we stay longer. Will definitely come back!

Best Family Reunion Every!

Our time at the Lighthouse was a chance to give our kids the Door County experience we had as children. It checked all the boxes: waterfront property, seclusion, boats, bikes, and tons of other activities. The Lighthouse had it all. And it was close enough to still do all of our favorite Door County activities. On our last day we picked cherries just up the road and had fresh cherry pie with our brats and Baumeister sodas. We couldn't have asked for a better week. Thanks so much Emily!

Can’t beat the winter view!

Our family of 21 thoroughly enjoyed our annual winter weekend get away here at the Lighthouse. The view was so gorgeous. Every window was either cozy forest or water as far as the eye can see. The fresh snow and ice formations on the shore made it especially magical. We were especially appreciative of the well stocked kitchen and labeled cupboards. It made our mealtimes so much smoother than our many previous house rentals. We’re a big family and we certainly like to banter more than we agree but we he NOTHING to complain about here at The Light House. Looking forward to next year!

Family getaway

Excellent property for large multigenerational family gathering. Very flexible with check in. Property and kitchen were very well equipped. Only missing kitchen towels (only one provided) and dishwasher soap (none provided for 2 dishwashers). Easy to contact property manager with any questions. Did have issue with septic alarm but was able to resolve after talking with property manager. Otherwise excellent experience. Would re-book 100%.

Something for Everyone!

We truly enjoyed our family vacation - there was something for everyone! We had a wide variety of ages but found there was so much that brought us all together - kayaking, picking up rocks to sort and stack, stories around the campfire, and lots of pool for all ages! Plenty of room for all, each family group stayed on a different level, so had a sense of privacy even with lots of people. There was lots to do nearby too - Algoma was a wonderful place for fishing and shopping. In fact, we all thought that we should have skipped the long drive to Washington Island and just stayed nearby. Went to fish boil and exploring in Fish Creek, and visited several state and county parks. Views from house were amazing. Perfect family vacation, thank you!

Fabulous family reunion

We had an amazing 3 night stay at this house that has it all. We are a multigenerational family (age range of 18 months to 70's) that loves being together and we had a great time at this huge house with many activities. We enjoyed kayaking, having a fire at night, going into Algoma, playing in the water, bird watching, watching movies on the big screen in the downstairs living room, doing art projects and playing games in the game room. The kitchen is large enough for our teams of 8 family members each to cook and clean up each night. Emily, the manager, was extremely responsive when we had a couple of minor maintenance issues. She immediately sent out Jay, the great maintenance person to fix the problems. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Nice Door County Getaway

If you’re looking for a nice nature-oriented get away this is a great place. The town is very close so you’re not too isolated and there are many activities you can partake in at the house. The beach is beautiful and so is the home.
