Lighthouse Retreat Close to Lambeau Field and the amazingDoor county Fall Color

Welcome to the Lighthouse Retreat, located in historic and quaint Algoma, the doorway to Door County. It features one of the most magnificent views of Lake Michigan and the historic Algoma Lighthouse. Enjoy the views while relaxing on the patio in the rear of the property. You’ll find spacious and comfortable sleeping for 10 people with an additional two rollaway beds, that would accommodate 12 people. This newly constructed house includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus a comfortable living and dining room with a gas-burning fireplace adjoining the kitchen in an open concept design. There are large flat screen TVs in every room. This is a newly constructed house, so everything in it is brand new. There is a washer and dryer available for your convenience, nestled in the laundry room. You will enjoy direct proximity to Lake Michigan, and the picturesque views of the lighthouse and all of the boats traveling in the harbor. When the Great Lakes cruise ship stops in Algoma twice a month, it parks directly in front of the house. The house is located adjacent to the marina which is about a five-minute walk to all the classic Door County shops, dining, and recreation. You will also want to visit the beautiful beachside marina and beach. You’ll delight in the discovery of the wineries and breweries, and the variety of dining options in Algoma. There’s a delicious bakery that is a two-minute walk from the house. Partake of the spacious patio, which is covered for your comfort, and can also be opened to the welcoming breezes and breathtaking view. Relax and enjoy the fire pit nestled alongside with an outdoor kitchen under a canopy top with a gas barbeque grill, as well as a flat top grill and stainless-steel sink for clean-ups and food preparation. Bluetooth speakers are installed in the house and on the patio that will pair with your phone or electronic devices. Relax on the cozy sectional furniture on the patio underneath the canopy with a spacious outdoor dining table. There are curtains to enclose yourselves in the canopy. There is also mosquito netting, to keep the bugs out! If you’re lucky, with the right timing, you will experience seeing the giant bald eagle that flies nearby and inhabits the tree on the north end of the property while it scouts the lake for fish. It is 30 min from Lambeau Field. Perfect for a fall weekend of Harvest Time and the Beautiful Colors of Door County. Now is the perfect time for your stay at the Lighthouse Retreat. It is sure to prove to be an exciting, relaxing, and very memorable time.

We rented the house for family Thanksgiving and we were very happy with the space, location, and the flexibility offered to us by our host.Located on the lake, was beautiful. Gorgeous views of the lighthouse and water sunrise to sunset!I highly recommend this property.

Nice property with just an incredible view! Plenty of room. Very nice area in back to host a get together. We could walk to town and enjoy great food and spirits. Master suite was huge with big bathroom and walk in closet.

Walkable to all of Algoma downtown. Good layout for our group, comfortable to hang out. The lakeview is beautiful, but fair warning, the house is high up from the lake. Guests should understand that vigilance(with kids especially) is required. That being said, we loved our stay. I enjoyed hearing the waves crash. Easy driving to Door County attractions. Tim was super fast with communication too.

We sincerely enjoyed our stay in Algoma. It is not quite as crazy busy as the towns just north in Door County, but yet it has some of the Door County feel. The location of the house is very nice right on Lake Michigan. We enjoyed a trolley ride in Egg Harbor, pontooning in Sturgeon Bay, and shopping in the area. It was quality time spent with family! There were some little things that we would improve in the house and we communicated those to Tim, and it sounds like he will remedy them. But in general it is a new house with most basic amenities. It was a nice location for our family (10 of us) to congregate!

Wonderful stay in Algoma!

We were in town for our daughter's wedding at The Grain Loft, and our stay at Tim's home was wonderful. The views of the lake were stunning, and the sunsets were beautiful. My husband and friends enjoyed watching the fishing boats going in and coming out. The home was walkable to town. Perfect for our needs. Would definitely stay again. Tim was very quick to respond to messages.

A great house for a group of friends to celebrate a 40th birthday!

Tim's home was a great fit for my 9 friends, Pug, and I to celebrate my 40th birthday! There are 4 spacious bedrooms and a lovely open concept kitchen and living room area. We spent a lot of time out back by the firepit admiring the lake and we even saw a perfect double rainbow our first night! (pic below). The house was clean, it had ample towels and seating options, and the beds were comfy.Tim is very nice, super responsive, and was helpful with any questions we had. Algoma is an adorable little town with cute bars to hang out at if you want to get out of the house. Just know that if you're looking for wild night life or a ton of stuff to do, this town is not the place. However, I got exactly what I was looking for with this quaint, small town vibe and time to be with the people I love. Thanks Tim!

Great stay at a great home!!

Beautiful home and Tim was awesome! No issues at all! We were able to enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner at the house and head to Green Bay for the game! Would love to return in the warm weather so we can enjoy the before outdoor space! View was amazing e en in the frigid weather!

Algoma is a charming place

The Lighthouse Retreat is a beautiful place to stay with wonderful scenic views. It is a great place to stay near Door County without the crowds of people. During our stay we took the opportunity to walk to the bakery and ate at 2 local restaurants. The food was wonderful. The house is very inviting with many comfortable accommodations inside and outside. The beds, couch, chairs, and outdoor furnishings were very comfortable. The host put a lot of thought in creating a great place to stay.

Building Memories That Last a Lifetime!

My wife, son and our dog made had a lovely time at the Lighthouse retreat! The house was perfect for us and the views were something out of a magazine! The host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to make the trip a success! If you are looking for a quiet getaway with small town charm, you will not find anything bettter! I have not had so many hugs and "I love you dad's" from my son in that short of a timeframe. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

Great Place!

We had 8 adults stay at this property for my sister's bachelorette party. There was ample room to sleep 8 adults and the view and property were spectacular. We had plenty of space for meals and games. There was an issue with the refrigerator, through no fault of the owners, but he still did everything in his power to make it right. He responded and fixed the problem quickly. We had an amazing time and would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Beach Getaway

Walking in to the home, you are greeted with the most beautiful, breathtaking view of the water. I literally said "WOW!" Our host added such thoughtful touches, including an array of local treats! Everything was available and at the ready. There is a coffee bar stocked with a coffee pot and Keurig combo. It had all the fixings such as coffee, filters, k-cups, sugar, teas, etc. There is a full size washer dryer with soap ready to use, if needed. We enjoyed a cookout and a fire with plenty of room on the patio for everyone. The home had plenty of room for our party of 9 to spread out without feeling stacked on top of each other! The home is located within walking distance of several restaurants, bars and shops. The backyard view is literally like the photos. We enjoyed the cute red lighthouse view greeting us each day. The spacious yard ends on a cliff, which allows for privacy and that gorgeous view! Access to the public beach is less than a 10 min walk and maybe a 3 min drive. We did both and our walks at sunset were just beautiful! I am not from Wisconsin, so I had never heard of Algoma, as we typically stay in Door County. It was like a private Door County. We could eat, shop, and enjoy the beach without feeling crowded. As someone who prefers quiet over crowds, I am excited to plan my next stay in Algoma and I will absolutely be back to enjoy this beautiful home with it's beautiful view and thoughtful host!
