Family Vacation

Great time and location. Notified dishwasher wasn’t working a couple hours before arrival, we did cook a lot so that was a bummer. Would love to go again, truly amazing space and Alma was the friendliest town.

What a magical cabin! My husband and I absolutely loved our stay! The cabin is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The drive to Breckenridge is breathtaking and quick. The people of Alma, CO are so kind and welcoming. We had an amazing stay! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a mountain getaway.

Lovely mountain getaway

We were looking for a place that was fairly secluded but close enough to a grocery store and a few restaurants to make meals easy - this cabin was perfect! The cabin has been kept in good condition, it's a nice layout, and was clean. The property manager was quick to respond to questions. We enjoyed hiking a bit of the mountain behind the cabin and loved the seclusion and peacefulness of the surroundings. Would definitely recommend!

Very relaxing location!

I was looking for a quit mountain retreat. I contacted the owner before booking to see if property was secluded since I really didn't want to see or hear anyone. I was assured no one would be around. 100% true! House was clean and location was great! Deck was amazing to hang out on and observe the trees. The people in Alma were very friendly when we decided to explore the town a little. I completely LOVED my stay!

First time using VRBO. Dont like paying a $250 cleaning fee and being expected to clean/ do the laundry for the property. Location and cabin was very nice but bathtub did not work.

Amazing Family Friendly Cabin

My family and I had the most spectacular time at the Pura Vida Lodge for Thanksgiving. The cabin was beautiful and so comfortable-- the amenities exceeded our expectations. The hot tub outside, the jacuzzi tub in the master suite, and multiple fire places really add such a special touch. The house was full of games, comfy beds, fully furnished kitchen where we made our entire Thanksgiving meal, even a telescope! It is located 30 minutes from Breckenridge and 10 minutes from Fairplay-- the perfect location for a nice intimate vacation but close enough to activities and necessities. I cannot say enough good things about the house and I highly recommend it. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us!

My friends and I booked this cabin for 6 days 5 nights and it was absolutely amazing! The communication between the property owners was awesome; if we had any questions/concers they were quick to respond and check in! The cabin itself is beautiful. It was very clean and felt homey. The only thing I will say is, if you’re skiing in Breckenridge it is about a 30 min drive. We were in Breckenridge everyday and the drive was beautiful but just know that it’s a ways. Also make sure you’re good with the altitude being 10,000 in elevation! 4.5/5 stars for me. Would definitely recommend and would book again! Thank you for a great time:)

Snowboarding Trip with two of our kids

Wonderful stay! Very clean! Kitchen is fully stocked. Definitely glad we drove a truck that had 4 wheel drive , we needed to use it to get back. Loved the secluded location! We sat in the hot tub star gazing! Sat by the fire and played cards. Very enjoyable.

Shower on main floor needs new tub spout for shower . It dribbles out . The shower upstairs doesn't drain well . Other than that was absolutely perfect.

Perfect for our honeymoon

We stayed 5 days for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it!!! The cabin was very comfortable and we felt at home right away! We loved that the kitchen was stocked with all the tools we needed to cook all week. They had some hot chocolate in the cabinet we were able to enjoy sipping outside on the balcony. We had some questions about the hot tub and they answered our text messages right away! We loved the jacuzzi bath tub upstairs too! Everyone in the little town of Alma was very kind and helpful. The only thing I would warn about was the lack of reception in Alma. Really dependent on the wifi in the cabin. We always made sure to load up our Google maps right before leaving the cabin. Other than that we loved our time there! Would definitely recommend!!

Amazing stay!

This cabin is truly the best. It has everything you could possibly need for a perfect mountain getaway. Books, puzzles, ample chopped firewood, and a Christmas tree. It was magical! We will absolutely be back!

Very nice cabin with good views. Only negative I had is the master bedroom is a loft and no privacy. You can also hear highway noise while sitting outside.
