Perfect Villa for Family and Friends

This Villa is perfect for large groups and includes several attractive features. It is close to several attractions and beaches. The host Mercedes was really nice and approachable. I highly recommend this rental.

Lovely

Beautiful place with a lovely pool and exellent service. May be two of the bedrooms are for children only, all together a nice House. Perfect with air condition in every room.

This villa was under advertised

The facilities, comfort and location was near perfect. the welcome from the villa owner and the fridge (wine, milk, eggs etc) were excellent customer care. My only criticism was that the villa was way different to the online description, it was far better than advertised!! It was the perfect, comfortable base to spend time with my extended family. I also received advice about car hire and places to eat. Communication was on point 😎

Great stay!

We had a wonderful week in Villa Serimar. Good parking facilities for several cars. The villa had very good air conditioning both in bedrooms and in common areas. Several games and a great swimming pool and sunbeds. Can absolutely recommend this house, and the host who was very helpful both before and during the stay. We were 11 people between the ages of 1 and 73, who all had a fantastic holiday! Could have been a little better equipped in the kitchen, with bowls and glasses, but otherwise absolutely great!

Beautiful villa, perfect Spanish town

On arriving at the villa we were welcomed with a plentiful welcome pack with all the essentials and more for our first night and breakfast. All bathrooms had shower gel, shampoo and soap and there were plenty of towels for us all. The air con is in all rooms apart from the cinema room and worked really well. We were able to watch the Women’s World Cup Final on the huge projector screen! The pool area was perfect for us with lots of umbrellas to keep in the shade. The enclosed glass veranda is brilliant, you can see the views in comfort of air con without the bugs biting! Easy to call a taxi - we recommend this in the heat as the last few metres of the walk to the villa are very steep. But the walk is worth it for the views of the castle and the sea. Not the villa for those who are less able due to the hill and steps in the property. We had a mixed group of adults, young adults and children (9 and 12) - the villa was perfect - Table tennis, pool table, fussball- good quality and plenty of equipment to use them. The owner gave us details for a minibus transfer which worked well and took an hour from Malaga airport. Almunecar is very Spanish which we loved, it would be good to learn the basics for ordering food, drinks and taxi etc. We liked the idea of having quieter times during siesta and we quickly adapted to Spanish time having lunch at 4pm and dinner at 10pm. Thank you for helping us make memories in Almunecar.

Casa agradable en Almuñecar

La casa es espectacular, enorme, cómoda, con todos los utensilios necesarios para cocinar, la piscina limpia y muy agradable , así que hemos estado super agusto.El único punto a destacar es que no es una casa cerca de la playa caminando, es para usar coche. La caminata son unos 20 min, con niños más. No obstante, la primera semana de julio hemos aparcado todos los días en el paseo sin problema, y aunque hay que pagar, es muy barato.La comunicación con la dueña es muy buena y siempre atenta.

Fabulous hosts

Surprise welcome pack was most appreciated and covered everything you’d need upon arrival. The villa is fabulous, very spacious and has everything you’d need to cater for a large group. The top floor with swimming pool, table tennis, pool table, terrace and kitchen is a fantastic entertaining space. The hosts are extremely friendly and respond quickly to any queries. 5 adults and 9 12-17 year olds had an amazing holiday. Thank you again!

Lovely property with excellent facilities & amenities

Communication from first point of booking was superb, very responsive to all enquiries and flexible when we needed to amend our stay after booking due to a wedding at home, thank you Mercedes. The property itself is superb with everything you need to keep all members of the family entertained, the lounge on the bottom floor with huge projector screen was perfect for the kids to escape the heat when they needed to. The gym area is in a cool, shady nook off one of the 6 spacious bedrooms for those who want to keep up their daily workout. The entire top floor including kitchen, pool table, lounge, roof terrace, bbq (both coal and/or gas to suit preference), table tennis and swimming pool is the hub of the home and an excellent space for spending days and nights. The terrace is actually bigger than it looks in the photos and the pool is the perfect size for young children; big enough to play in but never too far from the edge so you can relax while the children splash about. You can seek both sun and shade on the terrace at all times of the day and the view is stunning. Only minor inconvenience is lack of toilet on this floor so need to go in/down when needed. The location is on the edge of town and maybe a little further to the beach than we thought, probably around a 20 minute walk. The price you pay for that view is an uphill walk back, with the last 100 yards or so quite steep, but taxis are readily available in town and around €7 to get back so inexpensive. If you choose to hire a car (we didn’t) there is covered parking to keep the car in shade and the property is secure behind electric gates so very safe, both for car and guests. The local shop is less than 5 mins walk and the local shopkeepers are very friendly and have all your daily essentials, Mercadona (15 mins walk) and Lidl (20 mins) are also easily on hand for bigger food shops. Almuñécar itself is a lovely town, quintessentially Spanish with no ‘touristy’ feel at all, a genuine experience of Spanish life, Siestas and all! Get lost in the narrow mazy streets, shop in the cozy boutiques and stop for a drink or bite to eat in one of the many bars & restaurants dotted around town. The beach is stone or shale depending where you go, but the sea is lovely with sun loungers, boats & pedalos available for hire. The water park is also within walking distance. Overall thoroughly recommend both town and property for a relaxing stay with plenty to do and feel you have discovered somewhere new!

Fabulous time at Villa Serymar

We were a party of 12 family members ages 3 to 80. Villa Serymar is a truly wonderful property and our large family group enjoyed everything it had to offer. It is a spacious, tastefully furnished house set out over three levels. The six bedrooms ( 3 of which have ensuite bathrooms) have everything needed for a great vacation. The quality of the beds, bed linen, and ample towels provided is second to none. The top level of the house is spectacular ! A living area which includes kitchen, dining and living area with doors to a magnificent terrace! The terrace is the piece de resistance ! Shade, sun and swimming pool along with glorious views. The photos on the website do not do this property justice! It is much better and bigger than it appears. Our host Mercedes was incredibly welcoming . We arrived very late at night, tired and weary to be greeted by our host and a welcome pack which was enormous and greatly appreciated. Mercedes was very helpful at all stages of the booking process. We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Serymar . One suggestion is that a book with directions, restaurant recommendations and local amenities be provided. Although, we were able to access all this information through a friend of the host who was exceedingly helpful. Overall, fabulous villa, great host and wonderful location.
