“I would not recommend this hotel. The ceiling above the shower was coming down, the towel holder in the bathroom was falling off the wall, the new flooring didn’t reach behind the toilet, a picture was removed from above the bed but the metal clips were still hanging there. And the batteries died in the card device of our room door so our security cards wouldn’t work. It was a Sunday and maintenance doesn’t work on the weekends. The front desk had to use a makeshift wire and string to feed under……

“It was what I look for in a place to stay. Staff was great room was very clean and the continental was really good. It was everything I look for in a hotel. My husband and I just retired after 30 years. We worked at a State Resort Park in Ky. So we really look at how maintained and the cleanliness of the facilities. Continental breakfast was replenished. It just was a really good experience.”

“Room was clean and had some recent updates. Breakfast had good selection, was hot, the woman in charge of dining area kept everything real clean and well supplied. Could actually open up a window for some fresh air! No complaint, would return if in area.”

“There aren't a lot of hotels in this area so your options are limited. The hotel is very dated and some things haven't been updated in many years. But you could tell they made an effort to clean. The window was cracked and the bathroom floor tile was cracked. The ceiling light was on a timer so it kept turning off. But the sheets seem clean and there was no indication of any bug activity. The room had the toiletries you would need for a couple days. If you're looking for luxury this is not the……

“Needed a last minute place to stay, and this was clean and quiet, with attentive staff, though poorly maintained (eg old furniture stored in the hallway, bathroom exhaust did not work). The room had a huge hot tub in the corner with a wall mirror. Fantastic location, easy drive to downtown Zion and Illinois Beach State Park.”

“Didn’t eat the breakfast nor did we use many amenities. The only thing I can comment on the bathroom floor was sunk in and coming apart and the buttons in the AC were gone. What I paid and what I needed it was worth it.”

“The hotel could use some maintenance. The wires for the door lock had been visibly cut, allowing anyone in the building with or without a key. The room was clean, except for the couch cushion, that had dry vomit on it underneath. The staff was helpful, but their were no available rooms to switch to, so we had to go to a different hotel. We were refunded our whole 3 night stay,as the vomit was discovered the first night and room deemed unhabitable for humans.”
