「I had to communicate with the owners prior to our stay, and they were very helpful and quick to respond. Their house is beautiful! We had a row boat and 3 kayaks to use, too. It was an awesome weekend get away!」

「Kitchen had every tool, grill was awesome. Hot tub, was great to watch the stars. Only thing I would have asked is a heads up on the neighbors letting their dogs run free. Beyond that, perfect stay.」

「Our cabin was nice, simple and clean . Bedrooms nice, common area nice . Shower was a good one. John supplied the wood for indoor wood burning stove ( the source of heat for the cabin) . We needed to bring up our own wood for outdoor fire pit. We rented his pontoon for the day , easy to use .. super fun. Will be back .」

「Quaint, rustic and updated cabin with all the necessities to enjoy time by the waters of Long Lake. Plenty of room for parking the boat trailer. Water at the dock was shallow when we visited so we loaded and unloaded at the DNR Boat Ramp 3.5 miles to the west. Lots of opportunities in nearby Alpena and Lake Huron. Communication with the owner was easy and response time was immediate. Clean and well kept! Thank you Ryan!」

「Our family stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend. Beautiful big backyard. The view was just amazing & sunsets didnt disappoint. It was such a quite & relaxing place. The cottage was warm and very cozy. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. (Super thankful for that! ) & our doggies loved their stay! 「In the area for an anniversary getaway, and found this reasonably priced cottage. First, everything we needed to know or that could have been an issue upon arrival was covered by the owner of the property long before we even left for the trip. The communication from the owners was exceptional and had us prepared for the visit. The location was wonderful, it was extremely quiet and peaceful. 「This little cabin is a dream. Everything you need for a great stay to recharge. Clean and thoughtful in every way from supplies to decor. We thank our host for the memories and look forward to my my next stay (I have already booked!). The location is perfect near 23 to explore the area or even venture to Mackinaw for the day. Ocqueoc Falls is a short drive and soon Knaebe's will open their tasting room for the season. The amazing lighthouses tower over the bluest waters of Lake Huron. This area...

「Our stay was awesome. EVERYTHING was provided that you would want at a cabin. Neighbors to the north were extremely friendly and we had a great time. Hoping to do it again.」

「Shower left a lot to be desired. Cold water knob fell off. When turned on not sure if it was from sitting or the shower head but ended up covered with a rust type sludge. I know it’s from the well water but maybe before being occupied if it sat vacant go in and run the shower and clean the shower head.」

「The setting was beautiful! The kitchen sink and shower were so disgusting, we went to town for cleanser and cleaned them before we could use them. The refrigerator was dirty and had other peoples food (condiments etc) in it. There were cob webs with spiders and eggs under the table in the living room. We only stayed 2 nights of our three booked. There wasn't a can opener or toaster in the kitchen. There were also two gun safes in our cabin! 」

「The place was very nice! Little small but 2 people perfect! Was clean could use some closet space an another dresser. I would definitely stay there again! The owners were great if I needed anything just email them and they responded right away. Thank you」

「We had a great time at our stay on Hubbard Lake. The owner lives right across the street so he is there if you need anything but never once made us feel as if we were being watched. I have stayed elsewhere where we felt as if the owner watched us the entire stay. This was not the case here! We had a great time. If I had to be picky and complain about something I would say it can get a little warm in the cabins with no ac but it was over 90 our entire stay. Also, the parking is very limited.」

「love staying here. several rooms with several beds. overall the place was pretty clean but there were a few pillows that had marks on them and had dog hairs. other than that, i’d recommend staying here.」
