“The rooms had their own car park but required a deposit in cash to obtain the remote for the gate. I don’t carry cash so was forced to haul my suitcase up and down multiple stairways and along a dark and uneven path around the back of the building to get to my room late at night. The room itself was fine. Clean and spacious although the bathroom smelled mouldy. Lighting was poor - particularly in the bathroom. Overall it was fine but nothing special.”

“Overall, a very good hotel/resort. The challenge is that it's layout is over a very large property. Finding your way around is a mystery and walking to your room, with the luggage, from the reception is very difficult ... but they arranged for a van to take us. Using Uber at night, the driver couldn't find our villa.”

“After an issue checking in where our booking was lost Jose placed us in a fab Junior Suite with kitchenette, sofa and bed. All hyper clean with great view of the beach and harbour entrance. Breakfast was the best with great choice from cooked to fruit & yoghurt to pastries. Always love coming to stay and never let's us down. Always recommend Vilamoura and especially the Ampalius.”

“The front desk was super helpful and the room was spacious. However, the pools were crowded - not to the point where you can’t enjoy yourself but also not super relaxing. I also found the buffet to be just OK.”

“Wir hatten insgesamt einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt im Alfagar Village. Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön gestaltet und vermittelt durch den dorffähnlichen Charakter eine richtig tolle, entspannte Atmosphäre. Der Ausblick aufs Meer ist ein absolutes Highlight! Pools & Rutschen: Die Pools der umliegenden Hotels, die man mitnutzen darf, sind absolut in Ordnung. Der Wasserpark bzw. die Rutschen sind super, richten sich aber eher an kleinere Kinder. Verpflegung: Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr……
