An excellent and friendly hotel for an overnight stay. While the bedroom was very small it was warm and comfortable, while the help-yourself kitchen with hot drink and breakfast items was an excellent idea.

We stayed in the two room apartment...each one a separate room. Excellent value. Upstairs from a great restaurant, across the road from the nor-wester Cafe (an excellent cafe). For the money this property is basically perfect.

Exellent Stay

Loved that this older pub has been completely refurbished to a high degree. Loved the Don Binney paintings and large pictures in dining area. Lovely outdoor garden bar.

Staff amazing so helpful. Clean & tidy. Recommend the beef roast of the day. Best roast I’ve ever had just fell apart. Market day on Saturday morning. Wife brought a few plants went crazy Great value will take a bigger car next time😂. Most definitely will be staying there again.

The staff were helpful and upgraded us when we pointed out the photograph we saw when reserving, was nothing like the room we were actually given. Double check that you are getting the room you think you booked.

The Amberly hotel was a clean , well appointed hotel. I stayed on a Public holiday. When I arrived to check in, there were no instructions via email and the place was closed, there was a note pinned to the door giving the access code for entry to the building. Then all the room keys were laid out in envelopes on the table which was visible from the glass front door, so anyone could have entered the building and taken a room key. This made me feel unsafe. There were no dining facilities, however there was free tea/coffee, toast and cereal. Hardly anything was open in the town that day so it was hard to find somewhere to eat. I could not access the TV using instructions given in the in room guidebook, I am good with tech. On the bright side, the place was super clean and tidy, decor was quite new and the bed was comfortable.
