「I would advise other travellers to be cautious, especially if arriving late or making a last-minute booking. I should also mention that I was told I would not be offered breakfast because I had booked last minute or arrived late. My experience with the reception staff made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Regardless of the price paid for a room, every guest should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not stay here again.」

「The hotel was in a lovely old building, our room was clean, tidy & a good size. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our dinner last night and breakfast was very good. We'd recommend it.」

「Clean, staff great, breakfasts a great choice」

「Excellent and great breakfast」

「The bed linen was very dirty, and there was a lot of noise in the middle of the night—apparently someone was cleaning—so it wasn't a pleasant experience.」

「Absolutely fantastic stay in a lovely cosy pub. Staff could not have been more helpful. The room we stayed in was amazing add to this the fantastic food and atmosphere and it all adds up to a memorable stay. We will be back again.」

「lovely little find. Room was lovely, beautifully decorated. Fridge and aircon which are invaluable when travelling with work. Room was a little small, the others looked larger so would book one of these next time. Only improvement would be remove the shower curtains and replace with glass, no one likes a shower curtain!!」

「接待員喝醉了，房間內只有兩張床，連椅子都沒有，这里是公共衛生間的，看來只是兩星的酒店，wifi密碼也不供給，一斷开便沒得用，大家要注意！」

「Great food and a convenient place to stop for the night」

「The room was large, bright and clean with the added bonus of a fan. Staff were polite and helpful. Evening meal was superb. If we are in Harpenden again we will definitely stay here again.」

「A typical English country pub with a friendly aura, professional staff, spotlessly clean and a good array of beers. We stayed one night, the room was on the smaller size but well equipped. Being a pub bed and breakfast you have to accept noise to eleven but thereafter it was so peaceful until morning chorus. The full English breakfast was delicious and the fish and chips the previous night was also of a high standard. Recommendable.」
