“Please note this listing only sleeps 8, not 10 as listed. There is no double bed in the living room as shown. This was a misrepresentation leaving 2, 50 year old women to sleep on a dated couch and loveseat that were far from comfortable. When i brought this to the owners attention there was no acknowledgment or reply. Our first impression, however was favorable as we found the house cute, well supplied and convenient for us. “The old farmhouse has a lot of character, clearly having been added onto multiple times. While quirky inside it is a very nice accommodation with a modern kitchen and spacious bedrooms. The property was clean, well stocked with towels and had very nice linens on the beds. “We had a great stay at the farmhouse at Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford, VA! My husband & I needed rest and relaxation and the stay at Elmo's Rest farmhouse did not disappoint!! It's remote enough in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains for peace & quiet but close enough to town (about 17 minute drive) to get to the grocery store, gas station, and very yummy Joe's Coffee Shack where I got a Caramel Machiatto everyday :) Definitely book this if you want to retreat and spend time alone or with……
