Sochoro - NeoClassical House Katapola Xilokeratidi Amorgos

It is the first floor of a neoclassical house which was build 1926 and completely renovated 2014 preserving the character of house
It is located in the opposite side of the Katapola dock – Xilokeratidi area, few meters from the seaside. It is in a private -owned land in the quite Xilokeratidi area.
The apartment is 103 m², height ceiling, stone wall creating a comfortable atmosphere and temperature. It has 3 bedrooms with windows looking at the sea, one living room, an average size kitchen fully equipment , a bathroom and a beautiful spacious veranda with panoramic view of Katapola bay, Rachidi and Mondoulia hill (ancient city of Minoa).
Katapola is the main port for the island due to its sheltered location. It has many shops and tavernas which is within walking distance. Katapola is also a very popular place for visiting yachts. In a walking distance can reach nice places to swim. Private parking. Bus stop is about 600 m from house.

Charming Neoclassical port house

We adored staying at Plitos beautiful apartment. A grand stylish and elegant house that was perfectly kept and very comfortable. Plito was extremely generous and very sweet and we can’t wait to return. A very special place to stay overlooking a sweet little harbour. So relaxing and the apartment was serviced every two days which was very luxurious. Thanks for having us and sharing your lovely home.

Excellent emplacement pour cette vraie maison cycladique

Bel appartement dans cette maison avec une immense hauteur sous plafond. Super équipement, une bonne literie et une bonne ventilation si on ne veut pas de la climatisation. Une vraie douche aussi ! Les linges ont été changes régulièrement. Une belle terrasse. L'appartement est à proximité du frond de mer et de sa jolie animation. Pensez à fermer les fenêtres pour bien dormir et mieux s'isoler des noctambules.

Séjour de 3 jours à Amorgos

Ancienne maison cycladique authentique dont l'ameublement. Hauts plafonds, fraicheur naturelle , calme .... Lit confortable. Emplacement idéal, terrasse magnifique. Au cœur d'un authentique petit port. Gentillesse et disponibilité de notre hôte Plito. A vivement recommander. Idéal pour famille de 4, même si nous n'étions qu'un couple seul.

Belle expérience dans une maison chargée d histoire

Très belle maison bourgeoise, avec son mobilier d époque. Ambiance très intime, photos ancienne, objets décoratifs beaux et charmants. Dommage que la terrasse n ait pas de plantes ni de pergolas.

Wonderful home in a brilliant spot

This was our second stay in Katapola and our first time in this house and it did not disappoint. We were there for 2 weeks in July. It is furnished with everything you need inc a well equipped kitchen, good shower (not easy to find in Amorgos!) and comfortable bed. The rooms have high ceilings and massive windows, so it's very light and gets lots of air through it to keep it cool. It also has lots of beautiful original features that made it feel like a true authentic family home. The terrace is huge - with great views back over Katapola and across the bay up to ancient Minoa. If you are looking for a sterile, run-of-the-mill place to stay, this won't be for you, but if you're looking for a charming, clean home that feels like true Greece, I would hjghly recommend. Check in was super easy, we were picked up at the ferry and shown around the house. Any inquiries were dealt with immediately via text and every three days towels and sheets are changed, which was much appreciated Overall, we'd be back in a shot - missing it already. A real gem.
