non refundable deposite
it was a great living experience .However , they did not return my deposite after a month.I have paid the deposite of 2 rooms which is about 197 euro , and i asked them when will i get my deposit back, the receptionist told me it will go back to my card after i check out which might probably take 2 days.Yet , i have not got my refund after a month and i have treid to email the hotel several times and no respond .I am really disappointed with it as the hotel is absolutely outstanding, but turns out i have paid double price for the room .

Dear Wai Ling, I would like to thank you for your valuable feedback regarding the deposit hold issue on your account. First of all I am very sorry for the inconvenience that this long deposit hold has caused you. After having read your review we've checked our reservations and receptions email inboxes but unfortunately have not received any mailing in those inboxes from you to take immediate action upon. At check in we do ask our guests for a CC to place an authorization hold for possible incidentals which is than released at check out when the bill is settled. If a debit card is given and authorizid the same way, the release can take indeed considerably longer. We try to point this out to our guests whenever they provide us with a such a card. For the moment we've contacted our bank handler to expedite the release on your card and have contacted you directly to see if there's anything else we can do for you. The next time you have the opportunity to travel, we hope that you will be our guest again and provide us with the opportunity to demonstrate the unparalleled service and experience you deserve. The hotel is too small and there is a prostitute house next to the hotel. Staff mixed up the time and forgot the morning call for two mornings where we're staying.

This hotel is in an historical building, but the interior lobby and rooms are modern, optimistic, warm and well designed. Sir Albert Hotel is one block away from the Rijks Museum, Van Gogh Museum and local neighbourhood street with many small shops, restaurants and bars, plus an outdoor street fare every day with dozens of street side vendors for food and gifts. The Metro station is just two blocks away. Quite convenient in central Amsterdam for meetings and entertainment.

Genuinely one of the best Amsterdam Hotel experiences we have had, the staff service, facilities and bed is excellent. Be wary that the snacks are all chargeable, and tip the room service. Will definitely stay again.

Staff was lovely. Room was a bit smaller than expected which made storage of our suitcases a bit tough but it’s a European hotel so par for the course. Location was decent. Not far from Museum Quarter. Easy quick walk to the tram to get to further destinations within city center. Breakfast was great every morning as well.

I booked through Expedia, while I am a titanium member for bonvoy-Marriott, so when I find out they were a bonboy member, I asked to be my number to be register, in order to get my benefits, they said because I booked through Expedia, they can not do that, so I had not benefits with a chain of hotels that am very loyal The rooms were extremely small, the reception employees were extremely slow, and not helpful at all Reception space for clients is very small Gym was terrible, and outside from the hotel Not staying there again

First of all, the pictures are deceiving. We were supposed to have a city view with the deluxe room and a skylight. The windows in our room faced the alleyway looking into other apartments. If you're booking there for the air conditioning, forget about it! The lobby is cool and air-conditioned but there is no cool air coming out of the vents in the room and it was hot as blazes! In addition, we were overcharged for a breakfast we never had and received additional unknown charges after checking out! Also, the staff at Izakaya are homophobic/transphobic as they asked my 24 year old to leave the restaurant under the pretense they were not conforming to the "dress code" as they had "sportswear" on while other guests were in jeans and shorts!!!

The Sir Albert is an excellent hotel for visiting the highlights of Amsterdam: museums, parks, canals. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are modern and clean. We were on the first floor facing the street but really no road noise.

Great stay in Amsterdam!
A wonderful boutique style hotel in spite of high capacity: very well equipped, super comfortable and positioned rooms (we stayed in 240 facing the courtyard), fantastic service, and unbeatable location close to transportation and all attractions but yet away from downtown hassle. Highly recommend it!
