The place was great! It had wonderful mountain views. Its back up the mountain a little ways, but it was easy to get to. Check -in was also easy, and the bed was very comfortable. I have back issues, and has zero sleeping on the bed. It has a well equipt kitchen. All the things you could need. The appliances are modern. It also has a very nice bathroom. I highly recommend! I would rent again on my next business trip.

Girdwood Gem was perfect!

Lovely place in Girdwood. We were happy to be near hiking/biking and day trips to Whittier and Anchorage. We loved the super short hike to Virgin Falls - which runs not far from the house. We also hiked the spectacular 8 mile round trip up Crow Creek to the Raven Glacier. Alaska is always beautiful rain or shine and the Girdwood Gem had large kitchen, bathroom and space to relax and unwind after a long day of adventure. Thank you!

Main door issue upon arrival after midnight- top corner of door stuck in door jam. We were unable to close the door, and beds inside the porch door were cold at night, in sub zero temps. The next day I also realized the wifi information provided was not correct, making working extremely difficult. Messaged vrbo/property manager regarding issues, and didnt hear back, so 6 hours later reached out to VRBO via chat. The conclusion of the hour long chat session was that they had finally reached someone local, and the local people would be reaching out to me within the day. I never heard anything from anyone until the following night (only 12 hours before checkout on our 3 night stay), when someone finally provided wifi information via VRBO message. The door issue was never addressed. Extremely dissapointed in the lack of response from hosts regarding issues during our stay. Maybr it was due to the holiday? Otherwise, the house was cute and met the needs of our family during this trip, but wouldn't stay with this host again.
