Rural Tranquil retreat

Absolutely beautiful area, stunning views & so peaceful .. We recently retired & had 5 glorious weeks here & will definitely return .. if you are looking for a relaxing rural retreat then this is for you .. very comfortable accommodation .. The village of La Joya is about a mile away has a couple of bars & a restaurant.. but check opening times .. La Joya has no shops . but there is a village 6miles away where you can get everything you need .. also there are more bars .. Resturant’s ..a butcher’s & supermarkets .. you do really need a car

Stunning!

The house surpassed expectations - it was even better than the photos. The location was perfect for us - totally private with no near neighbours, and a beautiful view. The house was very clean , comfortable, and equipped with everything you would find in your own home. After being out and about during the day, evenings were spent relaxing on the terrace with a glass of wine, watching the sun go down. It was totally idyllic in every way. Caminito del Rey is a must - the whole area around El Chorro is very beautiful. All in all, we had a brilliant holiday - a great mix of 'doing' and 'chilling'! Thanks to Jose and his wife for easy check-in/out. Highly recommend!

Truly Magical

Booked easily through VRBO who we have used before. We met the owners in the village who escorted us to the property. Sadly, we don't speak Spanish but we managed to communicate ok. On arrival, we were enchanted by the views which were even better than the photos suggested. We loved everything about the villa which is in a beautiful tranquil setting. The pool, which we used every day was great. Shopping for groceries was easy in Antequera and a small supermarket was even closer if needed. The owners allowed us privacy but were at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Thank you Jose for translating and thank you to your lovely mum and dad for looking after us.

Lovely property with spectacular views of surroundings in a private setting. Good value for the money as you get the entire house (2 bedrooms /2 bathrooms, etc…), a pool, and lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy. The host was also very prompt in returning messages / answering questions.

Fantastic

The villa was comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. The outside areas were great, plenty of shade when required, and the pool is a great size. The views are simply amazing and never bored of them. Location is 5 min drive from the village which has a good restaurant and a great base to explore the region. Hosts were very helpful and generous. We would love to return

A therapeutic, stunning hidden gem

My husband and I spent a week of remote working at this beautiful villa in Andalusia. It is a gorgeous secluded spot, absolutely stunning views (including magical sunsets), great facilities and the perfect place for a getaway. It’s an hour’s drive from Malaga, the nearest town La Joya has a cute tapas bar, and then for groceries shopping, 25 minutes drive is Antequera, which is also a nice spot to explore! José and his family are the ultimate hosts - really helpful and kind and we highly recommend them. Another huge plus was the internet connection - we worked seamlessly on video calls for the week with no issues. We did try to swim but unfortunately it was too cold - if you go in peak summer, you’ll have more luck! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Spectacular views. Tranquility!

Having seen the photos of the villa's spectacular views and reading the good reviews we booked and we weren't disappointed!! We met José's lovely mother in the village square and she took us up to the house. It is few minutes drive from the village. If you want a peaceful place to stay, set in a very pretty garden overlooking amazing countryside then do stay here. We really didn't want to leave! The house is very comfortable and well equipped, with typically Spanish interior. Very pretty, painted ceramic basins 😊 José communicated well, checking if there was anything we needed. You do need a car to stay here. We explored some pretty villages and made a few trips down to Panadaria Arrabal, in La Joya to buy their fabulous alfajores!! We self catered in the evenings so cannot comment on local restaurants but I'm sure José would be happy to recommend some for you. We only had 4 nights here but will try to return and stay longer next time!

Ein tolles Haus in den Bergen

Das Haus ist wirklich ein Traum, groß, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, großzügige Räume und Außenflächen mit einer Wahnsinnsaussicht auf Andalusien. Die Betreuung durch die Eigentümer war sehr gut. Leider hat es das Wetter nicht gut gemeint, aber dafür kann das Haus nichts.

Quel accueil et quelle gentillesse! Un vrai plaisir. De plus, le logement était très propre et idéalement situé. Malgré l'eau déjà un peu rafraîchie vu la saison, nous avons aussi profité de la piscine, et surtout du calme exceptionnel et de la beauté de la vue depuis le jardin. Les hôtes sont attentifs à ce que tout fonctionne parfaitement, les lits sont très confortables. Bref, si nous devions retourner en Andalousie, il est certain que c'est à cet endroit que nous logerions...

La limpieza dejaba mucho por desear La casa estaba llena de avispas abejas arañas y todo tipo de bichos como un escarabajo gigantes todo por no limpiar bien la casa que tuvimos que hacerlo nosotros Seguro que habría más de una colmenas porque en mi vida hemos ido a una casa rural con tantas avispas, la piscina ni la pudimos disfrutar tuvimos que bañarnos con la manguera

Wunderschöner Ort mit atemberaubender Aussicht

Ich kann dieses Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen. Alles sauber und gepflegt, es ist alles vorhanden, was man brauchen kann bis hin zur Spül- und Waschmaschine. Die Vermieter sind super-nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage von dem Haus ist sehr abgeschieden, die Aussicht von dort oben ist atemberaubend schön! Besonders die Sonnenuntergänge!

Super séjour à la Joya

Que dire sinon que tout a été parfait. Villa au top, nos hôtes au top, la région merveilleuse, bref que du bonheur. Nous fêtions nos 20 ans de mariage et c'est une réussite. On a déjà prévu de revenir.
