Christmas Disaster
I’ve given one star as I was unable to review the property as we couldn’t stay there despite booking.
As we were in our departing airport I eventually made contact with the supposed host of this property to be informed by him that his property has never been listed on this site and he knew nothing about our booking and stated it was a scam - we had paid in full.
When I spoke to VRBO they told a different story and informed me that the host had double booked us, they were apologetic and said firstly a refund would be arranged and that a care team would be in touch to arrange a hotel for our first night as we were landing in 4 hours. Additionally that care team would support us in finding alternative accommodation for the remainder of our stay as it was the 19th of December and we were staying for 10 days.
I never spoke to the care team once, they supposedly rang me when we were on our flight despite me stating that I would not be able to take a call for the next 4 hours. Therefore I had to contact them on arrival to be informed that they would be in touch asap, my family waited an hour in the airport after landing and still did not receive a call from the ‘care team’ at this stage we had to take matters into our own hands and book a hotel ourselves for 2 nights in the hopes that we’d find somewhere that had availability for the remainder of our trip.
I did receive a refund however I’m still chasing reimbursement of the hotel stay - DO NOT BOOK THIS!
