No Wi-Fi, broken tv, flooding and mosquitoes
Hotels.com stated Wi-fi is in the room but it is not. Wi-fi is only available in the public areas that are outside with many large dengue fever carrying mosquitoes. TV channels were all scrambled so I went to bed very early. The bathroom flooded when dirty drain water came up from the wrong direction. The price is low but still not worth it.

Disappointing!
Very disappointing! For the price, that's not worth it! Poor amenities, noisy, bad food...and the room has not been cleaned during our stay!!! Better go to a guesthouse, wysiwyg!

Pretty average hotel and you have to walk across to another part of the hotel for a very average breakfast. Overall very tired and needs some attention.

Un accueil désagréable
Par rapport à la photo nous nous attendions à un bungalow. Nous avons eu une chambrette donnant sur un mur avec une fenêtre qui ne s'ouvrait pas. La propreté était loin d'être satisfaisante. Seul le personnel de la restauration était agréable mais par rapport aux autres établissements fréquentés, celui ci ne nous a pas donné envie d'y séjourner. Le cadre par contre est superbe et il en faudrait peu pour que cela devienne un hôtel très agréable.

Nice hotel
Very clean and confortable hotel. Next time, if I have chance, I would like to use villa. One thing disappointed was that before staying the hotel, I sent some questions to the hotel via email, but they didn't reply.

Overpris og dårlige rammer
Hotellet er alt for dyrt i forhold til kvaliteten. Sri Lanka er generelt for dyrt, når det angår hoteller. Avasta Hotel har gode intentioner, der langt fra bliver fulgt til dørs. Værelserne er beskidte og hotellet er generelt nedslidt. 4 stjerner er løgn, det burde have været 2 stjerner.

Great place!
A beautiful resort! We enjoyed the daily breakfast, the beautiful pool and the spa services. It was close to the ruins and to town. The hotel was helpful making any arrangements needed including transportation

Lovely people, excellent service, excellent food, great swimming pool, well located to the ruins, such a relaxing stay. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Carry your expedia reservation copy!
The front desk does not have details if breakfast is included in the charges, Every thing is manual so they have no way to check. Wifi does not works intermittently and we had to move rooms as AC was the funtioning well along with hotwater not coming in. After we moved the AC was good but no hot water. The towels and room were not in the best of state. Finally coming to check out , could not get the credit card machine working, and collected all out cash. The breakfast/lunch options are very average. It is a great facility but poorly managed.

NOT MUCH IN TOWN
Good location related to the historical sites. The hotel is too close to the road and some noise is always audible. The cottages seem to be nice, better than the rooms, quite gloomy. Dedicated personal service and good restaurant; not many options in town; it is a good bet.
