“Very luckily that we safely checked in after its temporary closure due to severe flood. Very warm staff including reception, bar and restaurant… their team members at the reception are proficient in English and Mandarin. I would never forget the “come-back drinks” offered by one of their members wearing mini windmill headband! By the way, don’t miss their breakfast and many choices are available! Thank you Hotel Loy Chiangmai!”

“Comfortable stay! The front desk reception was very helpful. Good location, easy to walk to the night market and the Old City. They can help rent a scooter as well! Breakfast was delicious!”

“Location is excellent, room is big and very clean.
Breakfast is ok although not many varieties.
The small swimming pool is a good place to spend an hour during the hot temperatures time in the mid day period.
Room price is very compatible”

"Disappointing Stay at Mövenpick Chiang Mai – Not Worth the Brand
Our Monday–Saturday stay was underwhelming from the start. No early check-in or late check-out was available, and our first room in Block C felt damp, old, and poorly maintained. The air conditioning was extremely loud, the bathroom looked untouched for years, and there were stains and grime that made the room feel dirty—far below Mövenpick standards.
After complaining, the night manager agreed to move us, but only the next day and without any refund, credit, or gesture of goodwill. The new room in Block A was better—still just “okay,” but at least acceptable since our booking was non-refundable. We were told Block B is similar to Block C, which says enough about the overall condition.
If you stay here, avoid non-refundable rates and insist on Block A regardless of room grade, as the “grades” seem to refer more to layout than quality. For what we paid, we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel in Nimman at the same category. It was also obvious that tour groups were placed in Blocks B and C, making those areas feel like lower-tier accommodations.
Overall, this stay was disappointing, uncomfortable, and not worthy of the Mövenpick name.

"the staff are very helpful and polite. Fabulous location, in the centre of the old city. In Chiang Mai, you could only take bolt or grab to travel. The traveling expenses were vety cheap. Good scenic views in the national park, especially those waterfalls scattered around. A tranquil journey which was so relaxing."
