Kournas Nature’s Nest is a charming vacation home (80 m²) that was completely renovated in 2023, located in the traditional mountain village of Kournas. Perched on a hill, it offers spectacular panoramic views: the vast Aegean Sea on one side and the majestic White Mountains on the other.

Here, you’ll find not just a place to stay, but a genuine home filled with warmth. Your host, Irini, welcomes you with authentic Cretan hospitality and is always on hand to share the best insider tips for taverns, beaches, and excursions.

The house (3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms – up to 6+1 guests):
The entire house is on one level, stylishly furnished with great attention to detail, and fully air-conditioned (including insect screens on all windows).

Bedroom 1: Double bed (1.60 x 2.00 m) with mountain views, Smart TV.

Bedroom 2: Double bed (1.40 x 2.00 m) with mountain views, Smart TV.

Master bedroom: Double bed (1.50 x 2.00 m), Smart TV, and private en suite bathroom with shower.

Living & dining area: An open, cozy space with an adjoining, fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher, coffee maker, and large refrigerator). A second bathroom with a shower is also available.

Amenities: High-speed Wi-Fi, a washing machine, an ironing set, and a hair dryer are, of course, provided.

The lovingly landscaped garden is a feast for the eyes and offers a variety of sunny and shaded spots:

Private pool (9 x 4 m): Refresh yourself with a magnificent view of the coast (pool towels are provided).

Covered veranda: Right next to the house, ideal for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening, right next to the fresh herb garden.

Cozy pergola & grill area: A separate seating area at the edge of the property with a BBQ grill for unforgettable evenings under the Cretan starry sky.

The location:
Perfect for exploring the island! Quaint, traditional taverns and a traditional bakery are located right in the village and are within easy walking distance. The nearest sandy beach and shopping are only about a 5–10-minute drive away. The famous Lake Kournas is also nearby. Thanks to good transportation links, you can reach Rethymno in 25 minutes and Chania in 45 minutes.
