There is a 25 minute return drive from the main area of Apollo Bay called the Barham River Scenic drive. It's hard to find much information on it, as it has been overlooked in favour of more scenic drives. The drive involves going to the site of the now closed Marriners Falls. The first 5km is farmland, but it gives way to beautiful rainforest. You can stop at Paradise Picnic Ground on the way. It is a drive that is a lot closer to the township then many others and isn't as well known.

very convenient location, walking distance to Southern Cross Station. Room looks clean but the cold water tap broken at the sink and the TV cannot change channels. One thing I really dislike was the storage for luggages after check out was unsecured. The staff would tell you to put in a room and tell you take all the valuable because the room is unsecured and everyone can go in and out freely.
