“Amazing property . Loved the carved wood ceilings and wood panelled walls not to mention the secret door. Never seen so many books outside a library. unfortunately didn’t stay long enough to read any. Also a vast selection of DVDs. The communal lounge was magnificent, we didn’t use it but were very impressed. The rest of our accommodation housed everything we needed and was clean and functional. The bathroom maybe needed updating but maybe I am nit picking, plenty of hot water and at a good……

“Very spacious flat equipped with everything you need. Only issue waz that the electric fire didnt work and no brush to be able to sweep up after walking . Shower was fab! Very central to windermere and 20 min walk to bowness . Very cosy place”

“Wow! This place was probably one of the best we've ever stayed at. It's huge, plenty of space for our family of 12, 2 beautiful living rooms and an enormous dining table big enough gor us to all eat together. The apartments were decorated beautifully, with lots of attention to detail. Rooms were spacious and beds were really comfy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more! Jayne was really friendly and so helpful. There was a welcome pack of all essentials when we arrived and……

“The Retreat was the perfect place to stay in Windermere. It was stocked with everything I needed from an umbrella to salt, pepper and vegetable oil for cooking. The location was ideal. It was close to the train station and the Main Street. It was very quiet because it was on a little side street. I highly recommend it.”
