「Yes, in the street which runs past the hotel there are shops and bar. Walk one way takes you to the Castle the other to the ports and ferry. The street is pedestrianised, but that is Italian style---so look out for cars , motor bikes etc. 」

「We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value. 」
