“The room was comfy inside but getting into the room was quite a challenge - as there were loose mats and uneven bricks. Got to the property at the same time as another lady and it was confusing as to who was staying where (2 rentals in the same space). Would honestly just pay extra to stay elsewhere next time. Didn’t really get enough info about checking in either.”

“You instantly relax when you arrive here. The view, the harbour, the quiet and the serenity are perfect for a getaway. Helene was responsive with all our requests, including being able to bring our two small dogs on holiday with us. This holiday home has everything you need, seems larger than what the photos display and was spotlessly clean. We had a family celebration to attend in Pahi on Saturday evening, so explored the wider area from Friday when we arrived. You can walk down the hill……

“Nice area, lots to see. We toured around the north island and visited lots of historic and current events and entertainment. Our hosts were available when we needed help and not in our face when we did not. It was a wonderful time and I recommend the place for a nice stay.”

“I would book here again for sure. The property is large and private. The caretaker Danny was amazing! He is helpful and knows the property very well. My family and friend had so much fun walking the trail grounds and watching the animals. The house is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The host was very accommodating and responsive.”

“The house is just beautiful and Tania is such a wonderful host. Best sleep in years. This is the kind of place that reminds you of weekends away at some relatives huge house in the middle of nowhere (yet close to the city) where all you do is relax, read books and play board games. Lunches on the veranda were just stunning and drinking coffee in front of the fireplace on the chilly mornings even more so. Thank you Tania, the stay was amazing!”

“This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Hobson. The rooms are a little outdated but everything you need is there. The area around the pool is nice. There is laundry on site which was convenient for me. It’s close enough to the shops that you can easily walk downtown. The staff are excellent; friendly & helpful. ”
