“We had a lovely time at the cabin! We stayed for the total eclipse and enjoyed a quiet private viewing in the woods! Our two little dogs were very happy at the property. The road leading down is a little bit rough, but that is the last 3 mile leg of the journey. You can hike up a nearby hill for cell reception if you need to connect, but the best part of this cabin was unplugging and relaxing. The short walk down the road leads to the large gravel riverbank. Fun for fossil hunting, skipping……

“Great property layout, with the pond and fire pit to keep the group under the stars in the evenings. Lots of sleeping space in the house but could have used a bathroom on the lower level where many people slept. Overall a nice secluded spot to hang out with the boys.”

“This cabin was perfect for our long weekend spent hiking some of Missouri’s nicest state parks. We had five adults and had plenty of room. It was beautifully decorated, perfectly supplied, clean and comfortable. The owner gave us his phone number and offered to help in any way. He was very prompt to answer when we had any questions. “We had a family trip with 8 adults and 7 kids, ages from 2 to 16. It was a perfect trip. The cabin had everything you would need for cooking indoors or outside. The kids had a great time playing outside and inside with board games and a huge selection of movies. The adults had a great time catching up together, around the fire and around the dinner table. Loved the decor and the cozy places to sit around in every corner of the cabin. The porch in front with coffee was so nice, listening to the……

“A quick drive from St Louis and we were happily secluded in nature. Safe and secure with hosts that make sure you have everything you need. Lake views, outdoor seating, nice fire pit, full kitchen and VERY comfy beds for all inside. Caledonia is a great little town nearby. State parks for longer hikes in all directions. Although you can stay put and walk around the lakes on site. So many options for various groups- families or friends alike. Would definitely book again.”

“This served as a perfect base of operations for visiting the Shut Ins and seeing Ironton’s Mountain Music Festival. Being on the backside of Shepard Mountain it’s super quiet and separated from the world… but town is only a few minutes away around on the other side of the base of the mountain. It had everything you would want in an experience if you were camping, like a fire pit, endless stars, and all the quiet of being remote in the forest alone…. But inside it’s nice the cabin , clean,……

“This place is such a hidden gem. I was astounded at how well maintained the property was given its size. Absolutely beautiful! It was like stepping back in time to the summer camp in Dirty Dancing! The other side of our cabin was also rented out, but insulation was great, we couldn't even hear the other guests. Everything was cute and comfy and immaculately clean. It stormed (really bad) 2 of our nights and we just sat on the front porch watching, so relaxing. I cannot wait to come back here……
