The location is close to the Arcadia Marsh and Lake Michigan--which is nice. Unfortunately, directly next door was, what appeared to be, a very run down, abandoned, building/business. The front door was glass. Anyone driving or walking by could see directly into the house. The back door was padlocked. Listing stated fully stocked kitchen. Silicone coating was flaking off of the pans--not very appealing or healthy. There was no salt or pepper. Most places have that. The toilet seat was extremely loose. Had to wonder if we would fall in each time we used it. Pet friendly--great. However, it smelled like dog. Lots of spiders in and out--hanging in the entry way. Did not get a comfortable feeling. Did not want to write a negative review.

Very.cute place to stay close to everything we needed strongly recommend visiting Bowen creek coffee shop and ketch 22 for some amazing coffee and food

Had a wonderful time in this charming little rental. Was very cozy, had everything you could possibly ask for, very private and quiet. Was able to walk to the eating establishments and had the marina and Lake Michigan at the other end of the block. Only negative thing was that they only have 1 portable AC unit, and we couldn't get the windows to stay open to try to use the fans. It worked out though because weather was not too hot. Other than that, it would have been a 5-star review! We did extend our stay there and I would definitely go back. Host was awesome.

Memorial Weekend

Arcadia is a favorite and frequent destination of ours-we were excited to find a little place right in the neighborhood to make our home base for the weekend. We believe the listing is a new one as it did not have any reviews, but we gave it a shot anyway. The house has recently been renovated and is coming along nicely-they may have more to do on the outside and maybe a bit more inside as the bedroom ceiling seemed a bit unfinished. The entire house was impeccably clean! The kitchen had everything anyone could need to prepare meals and it all appeared to be brand new. The small bedroom only had a sheer-type curtain and the morning sun was bright at 6:00 am. Maybe a set of blinds like the other bedroom has would help. The water in the shower did slow to a cool trickle (not just the hot water, but the water in general) after I showered and before my husband could finish his. We adjusted the next day and made it work with our timing. A family might have trouble getting everyone through though. The front door is full glass and a blind or a shade would make guests feel some privacy once the sun sets, also in the second living, room the windows maybe could use the same. We had a lovely stay- we walked for coffee every morning and walked to the sunset every evening. Weather wasn’t warm enough for a beach day, but the addition of the beach chairs and beach towels is sure a nice touch for later in the season. Great little place in the heart of all M22 has to offer!
