We have stayed at a number of Ashburton motels over the past two or three years - travel there around 4 times a year. This is the best for cost, as well as facilities, space, comfort.....anything that matters.

Booked last minute, the host messaged and let us know the key will be left in key box and they left the lights on for us since we arrived late. Place was fantastic, kids didn't want to go the next morning. Only small negative was the excessively loud bathroom fan which automatically turns on with light but aside from that, would definitely stay again.

The prize was really very reasonable. The property was clean and the receptionist nice. Parking was free. Just the lay-out of the room and especially the bathroom/toilet could have been handled better. The toilet was separate, however, you needed to go through the little bathroom to get to the toilet. It would have been better to combine both rooms in order to have a nice bigger bathroom with more space to hang towels. But for the price, it is a good motel.
