「Very lovely remote cabin in the woods. We were there because of the fall colors and photographing waterfalls. We were about 9 miles to the nearest town, Mellen, WI. And there was a gas station and grocery/hardware/liquor store in Mellen. The place was very clean. We always do our own cooking and the kitchen was fully stocked. Plenty of room for the two of us. 「we had a really lovely time on Madeline Island. The house was just what we needed - modest, but with all the necessary amenities to cook a meal, relax and enjoy the water. The access across the road was easy and convenient. The kayaks were awesome! We had an early snag where the property had not been fully cleaned from the previous guests but Alan was on it immediately and offered compensation for the hassle which was much appreciated! Highly recommend!」

「Location was great. Fantastic walking trails. Only had one hair dryer and night light for 2 bed/2 bath chalet. We had to ask for iron and ironing board which was a listed amenity, but owners brought one to us very quickly. An alarm started beeping in the middle of the night. It took us 2 hours to find and turn off the carbon monoxide monitor. Owners should proactively replace batteries in alarms on a regular basis to avoid this inconvenience for their guests.」

「The location was a few miles from Bayfield making it very convenient but allowing for privacy and relaxation from the busy town life. It was also an easy drive to the other side of the peninsula. Although the property is shared by another cabin the drive is large enough that it still felt like its own place. The beds were comfortable and the house was stocked with more than I ever realized. It was very nice to have so much included and not need to pack as much for the trip! 」
