“Awesome cabin, great staff who were welcoming and helpful. Great location close to all major attractions”

“I have stayed at the Blackforest cabins four times now and every time we have a very clean positive experience. There has been great communication and easy instructions for checking in and checking out. I wish they had deals for reoccurring customers because it is pretty expensive to stay even for one night.”

“Lovely rustic lakefront cabin… We really relaxed & enjoyed our couples stay!…but be ware of steep long staircase to navigate entering & leaving.”

“Very relaxing little spot out in the country, perfect for what we needed! Kitchen comes stocked with lots of items, and has a beautiful ambiance in the backyard with the hot tub and fire pit. We enjoyed the selection of board games as well. Security could be increased a little, but overall it was a great value and we would definitely stay here again!”

“I can not say enough on how perfect this cabin was ,myself and my sister where in Nova Scotia to lay our father to rest we first stayed in Scott’s Bay in a brand new build right on the Bay of Funday it was very pretty but did not give us the relaxation that we needed,we where finally able to relax and find some peace and take in the beauty of St.Margrets bay,the hot tub was the perfect place to relax and take in the view, thank you to the host for providing a little bit of peace in a not so……

“Unique property. Cozy warm and welcoming from the get go. Owners would respond to questions within minutes. Accommodations were immaculate and had everything we needed. They've literally thought of everything. Can't wait to visit again”

“I loved everything!!! I would definitely stay there again!!!❤️❤️”

“It is a pleasant location with the expected older atmosphere typical of cottages. One washroom was not functioning correctly and remained unfixed after speaking with the front office staff, yet overall it is a decent place to stay.”

“Great location, easy access to neighbouring communities. Kitchen setup with all the appliances, cookware and dishes - great for family dinners. Beautiful view of the ocean across the road. All was as expected; there was nothing out of place.”

“Spacious studio (except bathroom which was adequate). Bed was double, not queen but if that is ample size for you and a place away from waterfront crowds is to your liking, it is a good spot. Plenty of kitchen supplies if you are looking to cook.”

“Beautiful and wonderful!”

“Absolutely beautiful area! Very clean and comfortable cottages. Wish we could have stayed longer!”

“Loved our stay. Nice and clean, quiet and peaceful. Amazing yard. Basics were excellent (Bed, Tv & facilities). Definitely recommend.”

“Check in staff were very friendly and showed us around the cabin and facilities. Cabin was clean, had all required items for cooking and enjoying the stay.”

“It’s a nice spot and great location as it’s not too far from Halifax. A short drive to Peggy’s Cove and Mahone Bay. The cottage was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were super comfortable. It has beach access and we used the salt water heated hot tub all three night.”
