Down town home is a spacious 70 sm home where you will feel like your home, 10 minutes from the center of Athens, but also far enough to enjoy your stay in peace and quiet. It is located 500 meters from the metro, 3 km from the Acropolis and close to the Onassis Cultural Center. Free WiFi up to 50 mbps is provided. You will also find supermarkets, cafes and restaurants within a 3-minute walk. Finally, it's located only 5km away from the most famous Attica beaches.

A Great Place to Stay

Do not be overly concerned about the exterior appearance of the street & neighborhood in which you'll find this apartment. It is still a safe place. The interior looks a lot better and is quite spacious & comfortable. This place can sleep 5 people comfortably. The mattress I used was a little too soft for my taste, but I was still able to sleep sufficiently. The neighbors were quiet at night on most nights. Anny was very responsive whenever I contacted her. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

My review of the Downtown Home

The “Downtown Home” is a nice vacation rental. I was there for 6 weeks. I was there from January 24 to March 7. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to public transportation; there is a tram line nearby at the Baknana stop (which is one stop beyond the Neos Kosmos stop). The rental is clean and the landlady provided many amenities beyond what most renters do. It seemed that she stocked things one would have had at one’s own home. So this was convenient and appreciated as I didn’t have to go purchase these things on my own. There is a nice terrace running along the length of the apartment and nice to sit outside (with a warm coat when needed) to read. Every Saturday there is a Public Market one block from the apartment with many fresh food items and other things as well. This market runs for about 7-8 blocks. It operates from 8:00 to 16:00. A friend of mine visited me for 2 weeks while I was there. It would have been more convenient if the landlady could have given us 2 sets of keys as my friend liked to go out on her own some times. I suppose she didn’t want to do this for security reasons. My only criticism of the apartment is that I didn’t feel comfortably warm. The heating system though it worked almost constantly did not seem to be at maximum heat production capacity. I recommend this rental. I would stay there again. It is well priced, convenient and relaxing.

Our host Abby was amazing. She helped us in many ways such as locating restaurants and shops. She was very prompt whenever we contacted her for information. The place was very clean and is in a nice quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this place.
