We were met upon arrival and given a tour of the property and shown how to use some of the things on site. There are a lot of original things to the period it was built, and the images on the listing show off some of the highlights of the property. 「This tiny cabin was exactly as described, in a country setting with horses right behind the house. The pictures do it justice. It’s perfect for most people, but not for old fat folks like ourselves. 「The property was more than adequate for our stay. Being able to sit so near the bayou was also a plus. There were a few things that would have made the stay even better. These included (1) directions on turning the heat on at night; (2) no wifi on the property was almost a non-starter for me; (3) no hair dryer in either bathroom was almost a non-starter for the women; and nonstick cookware is a small investment that would make for happier campers.」

「Maria has a very nice home. Her little dog Max is so sweet and well behaved. Her home is very clean and well maintained. Clean sheets and towels. The neighborhood is very safe feeling. I traveled alone for an appointment in Texarkana. I felt very safe staying here. I just needed a night. I got off work at 6 and drove my hour and 45 minutes. I arrived at 8pm. 「We enjoyed our stay at the Lone Star cabin. It was tucked away in a quiet area between Maud and New Boston. Nights were filled with the sounds of nature... frogs, etc. Horses just behind the cabin. The owner was very responsive and the cabin was just the right size for my husband and me and our 13 year old Jack Russell. Great place to relax!」
