Fantastic house - peaceful spot in paradise

Wonderful little place over looking the water - Owner was available and helpful from the start. Location was a bit out of the way, but that was perfect as it was quiet and very peaceful. Would suggest having a vehicle. But can’t fault the joint. Excellent place to stay - 5 stars 🌟

Absolutely Beautiful

We absolutely loved our stay! The home is beautifully designed with a huge multi-layered deck and the glass walls open up to make you feel like your living in a tree house and overlooking the ocean. It is clean and has a well appointed kitchen with everything you could need to cook or BBQ. Highly recommend this place.

Incredible spot

Amazing spot with beautiful views and lovely indoor and outdoor spaces. The walk down to the sea was manageable but dont recommend swimming due to the oyster shells! Chris was great with communication and super helpful throughout the stay. Will definitely go back!

Another great getaway

Great base for our 5 days of winery dinning including a session at the Irish Pub where they changed the channel to Supercars for us. The weather wasnt flash so couldnt take full advantage of the cottage deck cooking and eating and relaxing but heat pump kept us warm inside. The setting is quite surreal

A dream come true!

Being at Bach52 has been a dream we never expected. We included a stop in Waiheke on our trip to New Zealand as a place to rest and spend our last few days, but this place has felt like a sweet home for us in New Zealand. The location is perfect, and the house is a dream—very comfortable in every way, with unbeatable views.The owners of Bach52 are also incredibly attentive and warm, something that is reflected in the wonderful energy of the house! We are so grateful for our stay here and remain hopeful that such well-cared-for and loving places continue to exist!

Magic time at B52

Once again, Chris and Alison have been amazing hosts. Everything was perfect! They even installed a new washing machine at the last minute when the existing one broke down. The views are wonderful, swimming along the track at a private beach was a highlight. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days over Christmas. We can highly recommend B52 if you’re looking for a quiet stay.

Absolutely perfect

A beautiful light and spacious get away place for the two of us. Privacy but close to Ostend (Island Coffee for the best coffee and pastries) and the Saturday market. The kitchen/dining area opens up on two sides to the deck area which has dappled sun and shade through the native bush. It was so beautiful in the sunny weather but would be a lovely space too for bad weather - sitting inside and reading with high airy ceilings and views out to the water. The kitchen is well equipped. Chris was super easy to contact and adding a friend in on the sofa bed for one night was no problem. We loved this house and would come back in a flash.

A Peaceful Property

This was our third visit to this property. We love it because of its interesting architectural style, the amazing views (water and trees), the peacefulness of the place and its handy location to other attractions on the island.This time we had a friend from Queensland staying with us and he, too, was most impressed not only by no. 52 but by Waiheke as a whole!

The secret hide away.

We loved our stay at this Bach. Everything about it was very unique. Located high up on the side of a bay, offering gorgeous views and the feeling of staying in a treehouse. We enjoyed have breakfast on the deck watching the wood pigeons. As a bonus there is a trail out the back that leads to the bay or around the point that leads to other walking trails or shopping. Ostend is in the center of the island and offers the largest grocery store and access to a bakery, coffee shops and many restaurants, all can be walked to or a short drive. This Bach is very peaceful a great couples get-away.

Perfect Retreat

Idyllic peaceful sanctuary with stroll to shops

Lovely architectural house, well designed to embrace the stunning water views framed by huge Pohutukawa trunks. Clean, modern and very functional. Such a quiet spot but can walk to Ostend Village in 10 mins. Nice water's edge track. The upstairs master bedroom got very warm even with the ceiling fan. The living/dining/kitchen area has welcome aircon which was essential at this hot time of year. The sofabed could do with a thick topper to improve it's comfort . The TV could be better positioned to enjoy some holiday movies on the supplied Netflix. The shower and toilet could do with exhaust fans...or at least insect screens to enable windows to be open in the evening. Overall a great place to stay and highly recommend.
