    Small in footprint, big on location — welcome to this stylish studio on the fifth floor of Union & Co, one of Auckland`s most architecturally celebrated apartment buildings. Designed by award-winning architects The Leuschke Group and completed in 2019, the building sets a confident tone from the moment you arrive: a sleek secure entrance, beautifully landscaped central courtyard, and the kind of considered design that makes you feel like you`ve made a very good choice.

    The studio itself is calm, clean, and cleverly laid out, with a proper separation between the living area and the sleeping space that makes it feel much more like a one-bedroom than a traditional studio. Light fills the apartment well, and the interior is fresh and modern throughout. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for self-catering — oven, stovetop, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave — while the modern bathroom sits neatly between the living and sleeping zones. In-apartment laundry is tucked away in a dedicated cupboard, which is the kind of practical touch that makes a real difference on a longer stay.

    Fresh hotel-quality linen is provided, a Smart TV and air conditioning keep you comfortable, and a small selection of guest essentials is on hand to get you started. It`s a no-fuss, well-presented city base that lets you spend your energy on Auckland rather than worrying about your accommodation.

    The entire studio is yours for the duration of your stay — fully private and self-contained. Please note that while Union & Co features a swimming pool and gym, these shared facilities are reserved for permanent residents and are unfortunately not available to short-term guests.

    While we will leave you in peace to enjoy your time in Auckland, we are available 24 hours a day for an emergency.

    On the edge of everything

    Union Street sits right on the ridgeline between Auckland`s CBD and the leafy Freemans Bay valley, which puts you within easy walking distance of three of the city`s most vibrant neighbourhoods simultaneously. The Sky Tower and SkyCity are a 10-minute walk, Queen Street and the Aotea Centre are just down the hill, and the Viaduct Harbour and Wynyard Quarter waterfront — with their waterside restaurants, bars, and weekend atmosphere — are an easy stroll away.

    Head five minutes up the hill and you`re on Karangahape Road, Auckland`s most eclectic and creative strip, lined with independent cafes, bars, galleries, vintage stores, and some of the most interesting dining in the city. Continue a little further and you hit Ponsonby Road — widely regarded as Auckland`s dining room — where a seemingly endless parade of excellent restaurants, boutique cafes, and bars makes for one of the most enjoyable walks in the city.

    City Works Depot on nearby Daldy Street is a local favourite, housing some of the city`s best casual eateries under one roof. Victoria Park — with its magnificent London plane trees and sports fields — is en route to Ponsonby and a lovely spot to walk through on a sunny morning. A supermarket is a short walk downhill for a grocery run, and there`s a convenience store just around the corner for those last-minute essentials.

    Getting around couldn`t be easier — the Inner Link and Lower Link buses run frequently along nearby routes connecting to Ponsonby, Parnell, Newmarket, and Britomart, and the motorway network is immediately accessible for trips to the airport or beyond.

    Please respect our no-party policy and observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

    Smoking, vaping, or drug use is not permitted inside the suite or anywhere in the apartment, building, complex or balcony.

    In the rare case of a noise complaint or evidence of smoking, an additional fee of up to NZD $500 may apply.

    Check in available after 3pm through lock box key collection. Lock boxes are located a short distance away at our offices at 10 Hobson St, full details will be sent prior to arrival. We advise collecting the keys on your way to the apartment, if coming to the city via taxi or UBER, ask the taxi to wait a second while you collect the key. The walk to the apartment from the lock box is not far, but no one wants to walk in the city with suitcases!
