A great relaxing stay in Augusta

We had a great relaxing stay in Augusta. The holiday home is in a great location, a very short walk to the beach and a 5 min walk to the river mouth and coffee shop and restaurants.The home was very comfortable and well appointed. Augusta has loads to offer, fishing, swimming, site seeing, whale watching, nice walks and wineries. A recommended destination!

Jecks was great

Property listing and location was accurate. Old house but everything was clean and in working order. Communication with host was great. Kids and dog enjoyed the garden and beach. Day bed on front porch was super comfy.

Cute and quirky beach getaway

Had a lovely visit with our dogs. Less than 100m from the dog beach on a quiet cul-de-sac. The place was perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. Next time we will stay longer!

The property was just what we needed and reminded me very much of the holiday house I grew up in with much of the same appliances, furniture and layout.It was everything we needed for our 3 day stay in Augusta and was in a great location for our little fishing aficionados.Shareen's communication was great. She called on the day to update us on the property's condition following severe weather warnings and provided further guidance on how to handle our stay. Our stay was not affected at all and we will happily reside at Jecks cottage again on a return to Augusta.

Excellent location in older shack / batch

Excellent location for the sea, estury and town all close by. Property older traditional 1950's place with original features. Basic facilities but all there, could have done with another loo as there were five of us and could sleep eight. Would stay again.

Perfectly located holiday home

A gorgeous little cottage a short stroll from the beach that had everything we needed for our vaction. Owners were very good with communication. Ocean views from the front deck were definitely a highlight! No tv reception or wifi but there were loads of dvds to choose from. Great backyard for our dog and cute cubby for our toddler.

Marvellous place

A wonderful throwback to an earlier time of classic Australian beach holiday houses. Clean, well furnished, massive shower, and terrifically decorated with some real "beachey" artifacts, and let's not forget the gnomes in the garde, We took our non-shedding Australian Cobberdog with us, and he had a great time too, specially at the beach just 100 metres away. We had a power outage for more than 24 hours which cut out stay short by a day, but that certainly wasn't the owner's fault. Overall, a delightful place to stay.

House was situated in a good area. House was clean. Heating was not good for winter. Need instructions on how to use one of the heaters. Instructions on where other necessary items also needs to be in the folder. Unfortunately we wouldn’t stay in the house again in winter because if the heating. Couldn’t use front verandah as rain came up to the door. The back verandah where shower is needs some heating there in winter as extremely cold.
