I try to never leave a negative review, but as a guest, I also want to know what im paying for.
If you want our short version of this review I would say- do NOT book a room here.
Here's the longer review:
When I booked online, based on a previous stay several years ago, I thought the property would be a fair value for the money. I didn't expect a 5 star hotel but I expected fairly modern accommodations.
Apparently. I booked a room on the "legislative wing"
The room dodnt even have a full sized shower, the upholstery on the furniture was stained. Looked like itnwas from the 70's. The dressers were chipped, paint was peeling off the walls. The room was tiny- it was like the size of a bedroom in a camper. It looked to me like a cheap motel.
We were so taken aback, especially given the price we were paying, that, after hesitating, I went to the front desk to ask for a refund but since I booked via Expedia, there wasn't a possibly of a refund. However, the front desk attendant did go the extra mile by upgrading our room to the congressional wing.
The congressional wing room was bigger but still outdated, paint chipped, dressers cracked and chipped. Stains in upholstery. Half our room lost electricity in the middle of the night. The spa is in ill repair.
Juat not what we bargained for at all.
