Hotel was clean and updated. Very different than any place we have ever stayed before. Room was small but big enough for the two of us and had all we needed. The room was clean and the electronic interface was lighting blinds and tv was cool but a pre booking warning about the bed would have been great. The bed is jammed into the end of the room with zero space around the side or the end so one of you has to crawl over the other person to get out of bed . Fine if you are young not so fine if like us you are in your 70’s!

The room was the size of a closet. Some of the staff were very unwelcoming. You have to check yourself in and out (I know, first world problems). We had problems getting clean towels and toilet paper. It was a terrible experience all around.

The staff was wonderful. The common areas were great. The breakfast buffet was nice and the coffee was great. The room was way too small and I was not crazy about the things in room being controlled by iPad. Too high tech for my taste.

Customer service: good luck reaching someone on the phone. We called and asked to be transferred to the front desk to see if we could check in early and we’re on hold for 15 minutes. When we arrived, we asked if we could check in 45 minutes early. There are kiosks where you self check-in and I started the process while my husband was asking about an early check-in. The customer service representative said that they could not check anyone in early so I stopped my online check-in apparently I’ve already gone too far and while she told us, there were no rooms available the online check-in had told me the room was available. The front desk rep was rude an annoyed with me saying “I guess you just went ahead and got yourself a room.” Parking; no parking on premise. Understandable as it’s downtown. We parked one block away. $52 for the 20 hours. No in and out privileges. Rooms: clean and efficient but tiny. My rooms have been significantly bigger on every cruise I’ve taken. We had a king but it was against the window so the only way to get in our out was to crawl over my husband. Rooftop bar: tried to access it but it was closed at 8:30 PM. Apparently seasonable. Loved the location and convenience but not a great hotel.

The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Austin. I was able to walk to the Capital, Paramount Theatre, Austin Visitor Center, and restaurants. The hotel staff was welcoming and friendly. The hotel is modern and everything in the room is controlled by the IPAD. The decor in the lobby is colorful, vibrant and inviting. The hotel has a microwave in the dining area of the hotel and a small refrigerator in the rooms. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
