Great place and location for moving our daughter into UT Austin. Very close to West Campus. Neighborhood is good and quiet. 3rd bedroom is in the backyard building with the putt putt - it’s nice too.

Great Stay

The place was great. We enjoyed our time there and hated to leave. Check in and check out were simple. House was clean and well-furnished. Great location in Austin close to UT and not too far from Lady Bird Lake. We would stay there again.

Wonderful West Austin House

Great house and backyard. Fantastic covered patio area with outdoor TV and table for cards, etc... Good air conditioning and comfortable. Close to West UT campus and Shoal Creek Trail.

Great retreat for a sad occasion

We were in town for a double funeral. The house, location, and host were all wonderful. We were able to take a few afternoon breaks on the back patio to reflect and enjoy time with our family. When we needed a couple more days we were able to extend our stay with little difficulty, but the host was very accommodating. We would definitely look to stay here again, hopefully under more joyful circumstances.

Review

Check in was a nightmare. The keypad did not work. We stood on the porch communicating by text. We could not get anyone to call. Then they asked for a VIDEO of what we were doing. Once sent they texted back to say something was wrong and gave me access to a lockbox. That worked. The entire process took > 20 minutes in freezing cold weather. The house is old. There is no place to hang towels. There was only one wash cloth to use in the master bath. The drawers in the kitchen stick. The utensils are insufficient in quantify for 8 guests. There are only a few coffee cups. The couch and chairs were comfortable. The internet worked well. The TV is easy to control. Several California window shades don't stay open. The close and leave the LR dark. The yard is not well maintained. Grass is spotty. The driveway is in disrepair and needs to be replaced. Overall, the house is not as depicted in pictures. I rate it a three out of five overall. Disappointing given the nightly price.
