I stayed here 4 nights in Feb 2026, and will not stay here again. I had very difficult allergies in this hotel and my concern was not met with care. Floors 4-5 already have mold in the guest rooms and hallway. It’s at least partly coming from the showers leaking on the floor and walls. The carpets under the beds are discolored and unclean. The staff tried to argue with me that it is impossible to have mold in a new hotel—I’m sorry, science and visual inspection of your bathrooms and having to *sleep in a respirator* to breathe tell me differently.
The staff did try to accommodate a room change—to another water damaged room—but I had to actively pursue them for it, and after presenting me with the second water damaged room, they did not effort to make another change.
Also: the printer remains broken; there is no computer station; the front desk couldn’t be bothered to suggest a copy shop; and the advertised “breakfast your way” is just chaffers of powdered eggs and kraft cheese omelets.
There are nicer, cleaner, and cheaper places to stay in Austin, where I will return.
I stayed in the Home2Suites branded part of the hotel, in a different wing, a few weeks ago and didn't have any problems with allergies. Bathtub rooms are probably safer than shower rooms re mold. I’m not coming back to find out—the same apathetic staff is shared by both hotels.
Stay here only if you want a self service hotel, walkable nightlife, and free street parking, right outside the paid lot
