We were given a "newly renovated" room which obviously didn't have a final inspection. The faucet in the bathroom was extremely loose and when the handle was lifted it came completely off. The hot water in the nook with the coffee maker, etc wasn't connected so no hot water here. And no hot water in bathroom sink. There were no bath towels, tv by the bed was not working, exposed electrical outlet by tv, commode seat was loose and wouldn't tighten up, and the floor needed sweeping. On the plus side the mattress was a really good one! Staff was friendly & tried their best. It is is a good location and within walking distance to downtown & 6th Street where all the action is :)

The staff were very friendly and helpful! However, the pool area was very dirty and had dead plants all around it, and the keypad to the pool was broken which made it difficult to use. The room was cozy, but the floors were not clean and the bathroom doors wouldn’t shut. The headboard on one of the beds was broken, and only one bed had a duvet. The hallway to our room smelled horribly and needs a good clean. Breakfast was delicious though, and it was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.

For a last-minute trip the location and price was very convenient. You’re basically paying for location more than anything. A couple issues. It could definitely be upgraded. A few bulbs were out so lighting was poor, the bathtub scared me so we didn’t use it. The amenities were OK, served their purpose, there was a pool and complimentary breakfast. Staff was helpful and accommodating. I called to check in. They said my room is ready and so I tried to go ahead and drop off bags, but they still wanted to charge an early bird fee.

When we first checked in, our room door didn't open. The staff was helpful and set us up in a new room. In the new room, the water line connected to our toilet was squealing (very loud) and the chain was broken inside the tank. We had to manually turn the water on and off every time we used the toilet, and take the back of the tank off to flush. I would have went to the front desk to get another room if this wasn't already the second room we were assigned. We had already unpacked and didn't feel like being moved again, or dealing with whatever headache room number three would have for us. The night stand was falling apart, the face of the drawer fell off when opened. The room only had one little garbage can in the common room, nothing in the bathroom. There was a dead flying cockroach in the elevator for our entire two day stay. There was also no ice machine on our floor even though it was advertised, so we had to go to another floor for ice (I'll admit that I am nitpicking here, but if this was the only issue I wouldn't have thought twice about it). It was a cheap place to sleep with a lock on the door, but that's about all it was. I've spent similar amounts for hotels in the city and have gotten MUCH nicer rooms. Staff was friendly, but that's probably the only positive thing I have to say. Wouldn't recommend.

property is run down, parking is horrible. The room was dirty. The tv had a black line right in the middle making it hard to see. There was bugs on the crawling on the wall. The shower was dirty and the water pressure was horrible. Staff was nice. In my reviews, I try to find the balance between being fair to both the property and the travelers. In this instance, I would not recommend this property because of the overall condition of the oroperty. It is run down and was not cleaned properly. The front desk lady that I dealt with was the one bright spot. She was friendly and efficient, but I will look elsewhere on my next trip.

By far the WORST hotel I’ve ever been at. The only redeemable thing about it was the staff. Fridge had mold and didn’t work, microwave was gross, paid for “valet parking” but had to still park my truck myself, the parking spaces were too small for even a car. I bought a deluxe hotel and the pictures show a large area with a couch but the only upgrade was the fridge, which didn’t work, and the microwave, which was disgusting. WiFi never worked. The drawers in the room were falling apart. The staff was nice at least. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

La Quinta should be ashamed of this property. We chose the hotel for location, which it was close to the Moody Center and the main downtown area. Location is all this hotel has going for it. As we pulled up it looked run down and we decided to utilize the vallet parking (regrets, explain later) The gentleman we checked in with was the only kind/helpful employee we interacted with. So shout out to him. The elevators were gross and floor of them was all beat up and stinky. We finally made it to our room and immediately there were issues. The safety lock on door was broke, there was residue on walls, curtains broken, etc. we asked for a room in better condition and the gentleman at the desk said that our room was considered one of their best kept rooms. The following morning we packed up to leave, went to lobby and weighted for vehicle after doing the digital request. After awhile we asked the front desk about our vehicle status. We were told by the younger lady, who smelled like booze, that the valet was late to work and didn’t know when he was arriving. She then told us we could go through the keys in the desk, find out and then go find our vehicle. Wild. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again. Not even for another overnight.

This was the closest Hotel to our venue, we've stayed here before but looks like it was different owners .Very small breakfast options. The room was ok. There was hair in tub drain from previous guest.The thermostat was hanging off the wall.The lock latch was broken .we did have a good time here. John was pretty good on information we needed 👍I do work for Lq here in San Antonioas well.

This hotel was a very nice experience. The room was very nice, comfy bed, meaning not hard or firm....it was comfy. I got the executive room and it was spacious. the staff is very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The parking is 45 a night. The place is completely run down. Smelled horrible. Staff is really nice and friendly.
