Austin Family Trip

We had a great family vacation!!! The place was very specious and clean. The kids loved the swimming pool. Communication with Paige was very prompt to get the hot tub going. Appreciate that!! Recommend updating kitchen appliances.

Guys Trip to Austin

We planned a guys trip to Austin and were looking for a place with plenty of space, beds, and amenities to keep everyone comfortable—and this house delivered on all fronts.Location: It’s about a 25-minute Uber ride to downtown, so it’s close enough to enjoy the nightlife while still feeling like a retreat. The house is also super convenient to several golf courses, especially Grey Rock, which is just down the road. There’s a grocery store and liquor store nearby, which made it easy to stock up. The neighborhood is quiet and private—we never saw or heard the neighbors.The House & Amenities: The outdoor hangout area was the star of the show. Between the pool, hot tub (easy to activate with a quick text to the Nest team), hammocks, yard games, fire pit, TV lounge, and a large gas grill, we had everything we needed to relax and have a great time. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the stay.Interior & Layout: The floor plan is ideal for a group. Each bedroom had multiple beds, and the shared bathrooms were more than sufficient—even with nine guys, there were no issues. The kitchen was spacious and well-stocked with everything we needed to cook and entertain. The layout strikes a perfect balance between a big shared living area and private sleeping spaces.Overall: 10/10 would highly recommend for large groups. Whether you’re planning a golf weekend, a night out downtown, or just want to hang by the pool, this place is setup for a good time.

We were in Dripping Springs for my son’s wedding and rented La Hacienda for our family of 14. The house was perfect! Each family had a wing with enough beds for everyone.

Steer Clear

I have communicated with the property manger Tracey regarding our stay prior to reviewing the property here. The property needs a deep clean and maintenance. When we arrived after a long day of travel and grocery shopping we discovered the kitchen sink wouldn’t drain and the garbage disposal wasn’t working. We contacted Tracey and to her credit had a plumber lined up for the next day. We were given a “window” of time for the plumber and did not want to wait around nor did we want to leave our belongings unattended. This was the first of many problems with the house. The kitchen stove tile backsplash was caked with grease as was the oven hood. The areas below the stove and the ovens were also covered in grease. The stove top had only 2 working burners out of 5. The outdoor BBQ was not working as well - and was filthy. The walls in each of the toilet stalls had either vomit or urine on them. We did contact Tracey with most of the issues and she offered to move us to another unit. We declined - we weren’t confident that another unit would be any better. We requested a significant refund of the rate. She offered 750. We travel a lot and stay in a lot of VRBO rentals. This one was a disappointment.

Our extended family, 10 ppl, stayed there and it was very convenient. Very nice place, some outdated pots/pans and a couple appliances need updating/repairs, but overall it was great. The backyard was really nice but we only took advantage the last day due to weather.

Perfect for Wedding Travelers

This house was perfect for our out of town family and friends traveling to Austin for our daughter’s wedding. Our group included ages from 16-75! Room for everyone with plenty of activities to keep everyone busy having fun. The private chef we hired commented on how well appointed the kitchen was. Overall, we would highly recommend staying here!

Amazing House!

This property had everything you need to have a great trip with your friends. The location is perfect because you’re 25 minutes away from Downtown Austin but far out enough that you don’t have to deal with the traffic. We hosted a Bachelor party here and the amenities were fantastic (swimming pool, pool table, yard games), there is a huge island and kitchen that made it easy for such a big group to gather around and eat. I definitely recommend this place for any big groups. The host are very attentive and are just a phone call away.

Great stay, awesome house

We had an awesome stay. Everything was clean and property was perfect for a bachelor party. Not super close to downtown (20min) but easy enough to get an Uber. Enjoyed the pool and outdoor space. Queen bed for each guy was a must for an older group of dudes. Paige with nest was very responsive.

Relaxing weekend

Property was clean and accommodated our party of 12 quite easily. The layout was such that we never felt crowded and the onsite amenities were enjoyed by everyone. Location was close enough to everything we needed and yet was just far enough off the beaten path.

Annual family vacation

The property is beautiful and has nice entertainment features. An additional 1/2 bath that is not connected to any bedrooms would make it even better. It was not the best property because even though it is listed as wheelchair accessible it is very limited access. There is no handicap accessible toilet or shower and there are steps to reach the lower play area. My husband was limited to the den/dining area and could not access any shower . Excellent property and helpful managers—just not good for our special situation. Family had a great time in spite of the limitations.

Family July 4th Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. We had 11 people in our family group. The property was spacious, comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed for enjoying time together as a family. The outdoor space was nicely set up and is where we spent most our time swimming and playing all the yard games. We also enjoyed the pool table and poker set up. Would highly recommend this as a great option for families or larger groups. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. The host was very responsive and has done an amazing job thinking of everything needed for a wonderful vacation property! We would definitely book with them again!

Amazing home with plenty of space for our large group. Plenty of beds and bathroom, and backyard was perfect. Billiard space was a nice feature. Open space of home was also a huge plus. Tracey and Nest staff were pleasant to work with and very responsive. Definitely recommend.

Best property for large group

Had an incredible time. We had about 12 guys staying here with more room than we could have imagined. Backyard was awesome. Beds were insanely comfortable. Host was very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

A Reunion for the Books

Every year our group of friends (with young children) get together and this year Austin was our pick. La Hacienda was the perfect venue for our group with plenty to do for kids of all ages. The backyard kept everyone entertained and the open floor plan allowed us to all hang out and cook together. The house was in a beautiful part of town and an easy drive to restaurants, parks and playgrounds. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Good place for large group

Stayed here for a bachelorette party and it was perfect for a large group. Great outdoor area, but be mindful that house rules are no noise after 10pm. If you plan to stay up late and will be noisy, this isn’t the place for you. Very easy to communicate with property management. About 25 minutes outside of downtown Austin

Family vacay in Austin

My family and I stayed at the property for our vacation where we could all be together and give the kids a place to swim. Children ages were 1 year to 10 years. Adults from 22 to 54. We ALL fell in love with the home and property. The pool and the outside area was amazing. The 6 bedrooms were all decorated beautifully and had plenty of room for the 17 of us. There were beds we still did not use. The house was stocked very well and plenty of towels which is usually an issue when we have stayed other places. The property managers were the best I have worked with. Loved Loved Loved the home and we will definitely be back!

Amazing time at an amazing house

We had a fantastic weekend staying at La Hacienda ATX. Our reservation manager Tristin was extremely helpful and clear. Nest Vacation Rentals is a very professional and well organized company. The house was just as described and full of helpful instructions wherever you would need them. The property was well maintained and very clean. We look forward to staying with NestVR again.
