The Space:
The Homestead in Dripping Strings, the up-and-coming “Hill Country Hot Spot,” is the ideal bungalow escape for you and your loved ones! Nestled on a 1.5-acre property, The Homestead’s 1,508 sq ft accommodates groups of up to 8, with enjoyable outdoor amenities such as a hot tub, trampoline, playscape playground, fire pit, and even a Karaoke machine! There is a deck with outdoor furnishing and a barbecue grill for grill-out nights and star gazing!
When not outside enjoying all the activity, you’ll have a warm and inviting living space to enjoy relaxing downtime moments in front of the Smart TV. The living room is also stocked with books - pick one up and enjoy some quiet time.
There’s a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals at home and a nice breakfast bar to enjoy a quick snack or your morning coffee. Or have a proper sit-down meal in the dining room and fill it with good conversation and laughter!
When it’s time to retire, there are 4 great bedrooms to choose from. Bedroom 1, is the master bedroom off the dining room area features a plush king bed, a desk for a dedicated workspace if needed, an en-suite bathroom with a spa tub, dual-sink vanity, and a stand-in shower. Bedroom 2 has a cozy twin bed. Bedroom 3 is another room with a king bed and Bedroom 4 is a luminous room with a queen bed.
We must note that The Homestead is for those seeing a retreat to connect with nature and themselves. There’s limited phone signal in the area. It’s truly for those looking to disconnect from the hectic day-to-day and take the time to bond with loved ones. We provide satellite WiFi but it is influenced by weather and satellite conditions and is therefore considered less reliable than wired service. The connectivity is outside of our control, so please consider this before booking.
Traveling with your furry friend? You may bring them along! The property is dog-friendly with prior authorization at booking and a signed pet agreement, and a pet fee of $25 per pet, per night. Pet fee will be requested after booking is confirmed. We allow pets more than 1 yr. old. Maximum 2 pets as long as their combined weight is no more than 60 lbs.

Getting Around:
The nearest international airport is Austin (AUS) 33.5 miles | 54 km away. Having a car is the most convenient option. There’s parking at the property. The path into the property is unpaved and has a flattened caliche road so please keep this in mind when planning your transportation. If you plan to visit some of the wineries, breweries, or distilleries you can find transport options like, Discover Texas Wine Tours, Dripping Springs Hill Country Limo & Taxi, Deer Run CS, Dripping Springs Limo Service, and Texas Wine Tour Company.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that the property operates on a well-water system, meaning the water will smell like sulfur, and the hotter the water the more sulfurous the odor.
We provide some bath essentials like soap, shampoo, conditioner, body gel, toilet paper, and some garbage bags. Please note that these are not replenished during your stay.
Pack-n-Play travel crib (with sheets) & high chair are available upon request.
Daily house cleaning is not available however, if you would like a mid-stay cleaning, one can be arranged for a fee. Please let us know in advance.
Guests will need to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation and/or upon arrival.
We kindly ask all guests to abide by these HOUSE RULES:
- Travelers must be at least 21 years old or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind (tobacco, cannabis, vaping etc.) inside the home, and the use of any recreational drugs on the premises is strictly prohibited.
- No parties, events, or illegal activities are permitted, and no excessive noise, especially between 10:00 pm and 7 am, will be tolerated. Please respect the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or extra-cleaning charges if needed after their stay.
- Pet-friendly with prior authorization at booking, a signed pet agreement, and a pet fee of $25 per night. Pet fee is requested after booking is confirmed. Two pets max with a combined weight of 60 lbs. A pet fee is requested once the booking is confirmed.
- We kindly ask that pets stay off the furniture to keep things fresh for everyone. An additional cleaning fee may apply if excessive pet hair is found.
Interaction with Guests:
It’s self-check-in using a code. All the access codes will be provided to you before your arrival.
You’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but we’re available by text 7 days a week. Should you need anything, just send us a text message!
